Nightmare While Separated (Ash)
“Well I will start by explaining what happened when I woke up. I woke up with a start, but at first I couldn’t move because of my injuries. So I decide to crawl. I crawled for about five minutes and suddenly the trees open up around me and I find myself in a clearing, a massive clearing and right in the middle of that clearing is a well. My body moves and slowly I am standing up. Then I am walking, then I am running to the well; I didn’t know I had that much energy, I guess it was just the need to get to the water to have water hydrating my body. I grab the rope and start pulling, slowly the bucket rises, then when I see it, I cry out with happiness. Water, lovely pure water, I grab the bucket, check the water and then start drinking. The pure untouched water runs down my throat, the amazing water. It isn’t until I hear a low grunting noise, that I realise it was a trap. 20 or more monsters surround me coming at me from all sides, I have nowhere to go. I am attacked, I fight for a lit

“What the hell just happened?” I say to the trees, knowing that Natalie is asking herself to same question. I try to stand, but that doesn’t work so I end up crawling towards Natalie instead. I want to know what she saw, why that happened. When I reach her, she brakes down into tears. Then suddenly she is on her feet, she reaches down and grabs my arm, pulling me up. Then she is running in the direction we were going. I don’t know why she changed her pace; all I know is that it must be important. So, I race after her, she neither gains nor losses ground. We run for what feels like hours, it isn’t until we come to a familiar spot that I realise, Natalie must have remembered something or been shown something. We race towards the car, shoving the stuff into the boot then climbing into the car, I shove the car into drive and we race off down the mountain towards home. We will probably have to move soon, at this rate we will never kill all the monsters and they will end up winning, b

What is happening to me? How did she do it? All these questions spill out of my mouth as I hunt for answers about this strange and supernatural happening. My monsters are just as confused as I am, they are all miserable and sad faced. As I pace around my room my thoughts always return to that one mysterious, dangerous and beautiful girl. I don’t know what it is about her, but she seems to have so much potential, and ability but she doesn’t know or realise. I don’t know what she sees in Ash, he was so easy to manipulate, but that could have been because I was heavily focused on making Natalie die in his manipulation. I want Natalie for myself and the only way I can see that happening is if I kill Ash myself but make it look as if that Cooper boy was the one to kill him. “But how will I do it? That is the question.” I guess I could manipulate Cooper into killing him like I did to him in his dreams where he tried to kill Natalie, but it really depends on Natalie. Like the prophecy

That night I lay in my bed and all I can think about is the female Ma Vista. She would be mine, she could have been mine, but I found her too late. The male had already gotten his claws into her. “Org.” I scream in fury. It was for me, she was meant for me. In the prophecy it read that once they share their first kiss they would practically become unstoppable. I have to find a way to prevent that from happening. “But how?” I say out loud not realising that I wasn’t alone. “But what master?” the monster scares me out of my thoughts, and I look at the beautiful sea blue monster that I would have only dreamed about as a boy. “But what master?” it repeats. I have been watching all three of them quietly and I have noticed little things that I don’t think the others have noticed, or maybe they just don’t care. Natalie, well Natalie is the hardest to read. She is the leader, which I find extremely weird considering both the boys would have to be heaps stronger. But she is smart, good at battle plans and altogether really caring. I believe she is also really brave. Like the attack that happened in the forest, she didn’t blink even when Cooper was out cold and that the invisible monster was holding me by the neck as she was threatened. It was a strange event; I saw my life flash before my eyes. I could feel my heart beat slowing. But all I could do was hang and look at Natalie’s eyes. As soon as the monster mentioned Ash being alive, her eyes brightened and that light gave me hope and knowledge I knew I was going to live. I hear the bathroom door unlock and hear the hinges shriek in pain, as the door swings open. As Cooper walks out of the bathroom the carpet crunched under his feet, like the crunching of a biscuit when you bite them. I watch him past me, as I walk towards the door of the bathroom. Just as I pass the door, I hear Cooper mutter ‘be careful the grounds a bit wet. I thank him quietly and close the door behind me. Clumsily I climb and scratch my way out of my dirty, smelly clothes and into the warm soothing, running water. It’s not long until I feel completely clean and happy. I decide that it’s no sin to stay in the shower for another couple of minutes. As the water trickles from my hair into my eyes, it dawns on me that Natalie and Ash haven’t had a shower yet. So I quickly turn of the water and step out of the shower. I reach over to switch the fan on, when suddenly the lights go off. I hear everyone give a shriek as the rest of the lights go out. With Natalie gone I was devastated, she could be being tortured right now and all I am doing is laying in my bed wishing that I could feel her body warmth beside me warming the bed, but that can’t happen. I hear a soft knock on the bedroom door, “Ash, may I please come in?” It’s Lyrica; I don’t know what to say to either of them. I feel like it’s my fault that Natalie is gone, I should have jumped through the window and grabbed her hand and pulled her from that blue monsters grasp, but I was too weak. Now the love of my life is being tortured and surrounded by our enemy. I let out a rather loud groan and then allow her to enter. “Ash, I understand that you don’t want to talk to us right now, but while Natalie is with the master, we need to think about the war that is about to occur. We need to start finding people that will help us, though that isn’t very helpful because we can’t see anything, and we also need to start training people how to kill monsters and a way for Cooper and

This time I turn up in a forest, I see Cooper and Lyrica walking beside me and I don’t even have to look at myself to see that I am Natalie. They seem to be walking through the forest; they don’t know which way to go or what to do but they just keep walking. Suddenly before my eyes can even comprehend what is happening, Cooper has been thrown against a tree and the monster has grabbed Lyrica by the throat and is holding her off the ground. I feel Natalie grab her bow and arrow and aim for the monster, but before she speaks the monster talks. I can’t tell what he is saying because it is really muffled but I can tell that Natalie likes but doesn’t like what it is saying at the same time. Her bow arm slowly drops; I can see Lyrica slowly losing consciousness. Finally, the monster disappears and I rush over to Lyrica and check if she is still alive. I also notice that Cooper is awake, I look into his eyes and I see a question flicker through them. Suddenly Natalie starts to talk to Cooper

Nightmare Nick tried to kill me! (Aaron)
Natalie had the best plan, and I was certain that we were going to surprise the in coming monsters. As I sit with Alex and watch her watch her best friend prepare to do something that no one should be able to do. Alex’s head sits against my shoulder and my arms circle her waist, I realise that the way we are sitting feels right. I know that this is going to be dangerous and that Alex is worried because Nick has been missing, but I can’t let her out of my sight. She is my heart and my life and without her I don’t know what my life would be like. Alex’s body suddenly becomes tense and her head lifts off my shoulder. She is looking directly at Natalie, and Natalie is looking directly at Alex before she vanishes. Alex gets up quickly and races to where Natalie had been standing and finds the space empty. Tears begin to show in her eyes and she continues to stare at the spot where her best friend just vanished from. I look around and notice that everyone else is also staring at the spot
Nightmare Revenge Plan (Aidan)
Walking out to the kitchen, I grab a snack from the fridge before walking to the lounge room to think. I watch the monsters walk around me even right now I can see that the numbers are dropping, maybe because they have noticed that the main leaders are no longer here, or simple because they have retired for the night. Whatever Natalie and Blue came up with before Blue helped Natalie escape must have caused some confusion. That’s why sooner rather than later I need to finish the job I started. I need to get Ash out of the equation, because that will surely break Natalie’s strength. Then finally an Idea hits me. I could manipulate Nick’s hatred for losing his sister towards the girl’s boyfriend and I can also use the hatred towards Ash for stealing Natalie away from him. I look around the room and notice that some of the monsters have turned their attention towards me. I feel my lips lift into a wide spread grin and I feel my eyes gleaming with happiness as my plans start to formulate

The monster gulps and moves forward to stand at the front. He lifts up the bag he is holding and I am surprised to see a human within the bag. “Why do you hold a human?” I ask as politely as possible. “It’s not just any human, it’s one of their humans, one of the important ones that the Ma Vista’s talk to.” I look at him in surprise, “And how did you find him?” “He was sitting out the front of the house, so I took the opportunity to grab him.” A look of uncertainty flashes across his face, before he regains his confidence. I look at the unconscious human, that I certainly had seen floating around with the little gang that Natalie had created. Then a stroke of genius erupts in my head, I could use this guy to cause even more havoc, maybe make Natalie regret bringing her friends into this mess that wasn’t even meant to be theirs in the first place. “Thank you, this has given us one of the most important game changes in the battle. Blacks interruption had confused me, for a second I thought that he was going to help the other monsters from the council, but I misjudged his character. It had been years since that last master died, but considering that can’t happen anymore it had to be expected that one of the monsters would want the other Ma Vista’s to win, but quite frankly that is not an option. From what I have heard from the other monsters, rumours are going round that Natalie and Ash are planning not on killing all the monsters because there job will still have to be done, but only killing those that killed the people that weren’t destined to pass on. An hour after I have posted the roster I get my first complaint, and of course the person complaining is someone by the name of Josh who happens to have first duty tonight. “LYRICA, WHY...DO...I...HAVE...THE...FIRST...SHIFT?” He practically screams at me, I decide to make up a lie that will sound like the truth “You just happened to be the first name I pulled out of the hat.” To be completely honest with you, I put him first just to get him out of everybody’s road, he makes such a racket and I have no idea how Natalie was ever with this guy, she’s to good for him. Finally after a solid ten minutes of them throwing questions that I couldn’t answer there was finally silence. “Well, I can’t answer any of those questions but I do have something to tell you. The master some how manipulated Cooper, I don’t know what he did, but Cooper has now got like a completely different personality. So just be careful about what you say around him, because we won’t be able to tell if someone unwanted will be listening in. So everyone okay with...” There is a sudden bang and I see all the eyes in the room turn towards the door; all eyes seem to be weary as they assess the new person standing in the room. Cooper takes a step forward and I notice that Alex is the first to recover. She flings herself at Cooper and collects him in a gigantic hug. “It’s so good to see that you’re alright.” Cooper slowly wraps his arm around her and holds her loosely. As I lay there, my body seems to mould to the ground and I refuse to get up and get Cooper away from the street. My body is heavy, and I struggle to keep my head clear, thoughts seem to flood my head and I can’t seem to think straight. Worry for everyone, especially for Natalie and Ash, I don’t understand this level of loyalty that I have developed for the two. I find that if there happened to be a stand off between Cooper and Natalie I would probably stand before Natalie and protect her with my life. I don’t understand this level of dedication but I assume it is because I now feel as though I belong somewhere. After being alone for so long and having someone welcome me without asking questions, I will never, ever walk away from someone who so willingly let me enter their family. Cooper’s sudden disappearance had me confused and worried, he had been fighting right along beside me since the beginning of the battle and then he started acting funny. He had looked at me with fear, as if he was seeing something that was not actually happening, then he had ran in the opposite direction. I had been about to follow when I was unexpectedly knocked over as a monster struck me with something sharp. The blood had welled immediately on my arm and I noticed the three long claw marks across my arm and how quickly I was losing blood. I needed to get out of here and find somewhere safe. As the words slip out of Blacks mouth I become still, my muscles tense and I am left standing in the middle of the street completely vulnerable because of this new theory.
