Chapter Fourteen

After a long shower, a healthy meal, and a good night's sleep Gretchen had allowed his mind to roam around a lot of things and settle on one.

Aubrey isn't safe here, neither is he, it is getting more tough as the day goes by.

What is he to do? For the first time in his life, he is confused and feels the need to protect everyone, he thought.

He walked into Brent's room, the door was wide open.

"Wasn't expecting you this early," said Brent.

He was sitting on his bed and was looking out the window watching the daybreak.

"This is my favourite moment about life," he said.

"Watching the daybreak," said Gretchen.

"It has a lot of significance, but that is a story for another day," he replied.

He tapped the space next to him on the bed.

"Come sit," he said.

"I won't be staying long," replied Gretchen.

"It is too early to drag out words," he replied, still looking outside watching the
