Anora’s POV

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the curtains as I opened my eyes slowly. I stretched with a lazy yawn and sat up, blinking against the brightness. My gaze instinctively shifted to the other side of the bed.

It was empty. Sebastian was gone.

In his place sat a neat stack of cash.

A bitter laugh slipped past my lips as I shook my head. What the heck did he take me for? Some random hookup he could just pay off after a night together?

Heat burned in my chest, not just anger at him, but at myself. I had let him into my body. I had let him touch me, kiss me, make me forget who I was for one reckless night. And now, here I was, with nothing but wrinkled clothes and a pile of money I didn’t ask for.

Fighting the lump in my throat, I stood and slowly began gathering my things. I just wanted out. This place suddenly felt wrong, like I didn’t belong here, like I had barged into a world that was never meant for me.

I slipped into my clothes without bothering to shower, determined to get home first. My hand was already on the doorknob when something caught my eye.

On the bedside table, right where the sunlight struck, lay a necklace.

It wasn’t just any necklace. The chain gleamed, and the pendant glowed faintly as if daring me to pick it up.

I hesitated, but curiosity got the better of me. My fingers curled around it, and the weight surprised me. Cold, heavy… expensive. Definitely not the kind of thing anyone would just forget.

It had to belong to Sebastian. But why would he leave something like this behind? Maybe he’d just forgotten it. I turned the necklace over in my hand, its weight heavy, almost deliberate. With a sigh, I tucked it into my bag. Fine. I’d return it when we crossed paths again.

I stepped into the hallway, retracing the same path Sebastian and I had walked the night before. At the front desk, I slid the key across without a word, then pushed through the glass doors and out into the daylight.

The sun was already high, sharp and golden. I glanced at my phone. It was mid morning already. My shoulders slumped as I breathed out a long sigh and hailed a taxi.

Back at the bar, my car sat exactly where I’d left it, a small, quiet mercy. I climbed inside, closed the door, and just sat there for a moment. My hands gripped the steering wheel, knuckles whitening as I stared at nothing.

Last night shouldn’t have happened. If Bruce hadn’t cheated, I would never have let Sebastian touch me. But that excuse tasted bitter, even to me. I couldn’t lie to myself. I was the one that lured him in afterall.

Pulling into my driveway, I parked and gathered the things I’d bought for Bruce, the little gifts I thought might make him smile. My chest tightened as I carried them straight to the trash and dumped them in without a second thought.

When I turned toward the house, I froze.

Debbie was standing on my porch.

For a second, I thought I was seeing things. But no. She was really there, arms crossed over herself, her face blotchy and swollen from crying.

A sharp, bitter smile tugged at my lips. My heart pounded like a war drum, but my voice came out like ice.

“What the hell are you doing here, Debbie?”

She flinched. “Anora… can we talk?”

I walked closer, close enough that she could feel the heat rolling off me. “We have nothing to talk about. Get the fuck off my porch.”

Her eyes widened. She swallowed hard. “Please, just hear me out—”

“Hear you out?” The words ripped out of me. “After I walked in and saw you fucking my fiancé on his couch?” My voice cracked, the pain clawing through even as I tried to bury it.

Tears pooled in her eyes. “It just… happened. I didn’t mean—”

“Spare me,” I snapped. “You’re a liar. A backstabbing traitor. Don’t even try to play innocent.”

“I’m sorry,” she whispered, one tear slipping free.

But her tears didn’t move me. Not anymore.

“I trusted you,” I said, voice trembling despite the steel I tried to hold. “You were like a sister to me. And you threw it all away for him.”

She reached for my hand, but I jerked back instantly.

“Don’t. Touch. Me.”

Her face crumpled. She let out a shaky breath, then turned and walked away without another word.

I stood frozen, watching her retreat. My mind screamed, my chest ached, but my eyes stayed dry.

When I finally stepped inside, I closed the door quietly behind me, then leaned against it. My body slid down until I hit the floor, my breaths shallow, my chest tight. The memories replayed in my head. Debbie’s moans, Bruce’s face, their bare bodies on his couch.

Why? Why would they do this to me?

Tears filled my eyes. I wiped them away hard, my jaw clenched. Enough. I was done wasting myself on people who could betray me so easily. Done being the girl they thought they could crush.

It hurt. God, it hurts. But I would survive.

Dragging myself into the bathroom, I peeled off my clothes and stepped under the shower. The hot water scalded my skin, but I scrubbed harder, as though I could wash away every trace of last night, every ounce of pain clinging to me.

By the time the water ran cold, I stepped out, wrapped a towel around myself, and stared into the mirror.

I didn’t even recognize the woman staring back. But somewhere beneath the girl who had gone through a lot, I saw a version of me who would survive without Bruce, without Debbie.

I got dressed, forced down a quick breakfast I barely tasted, and grabbed my bag.

Whatever today threw at me, at least I wasn’t going to sit here drowning in their betrayal.

As I slung my bag over my shoulder, my gaze fell on the necklace resting on the table. I picked it up. It was cold, and heavy. I told myself I’d return it when I saw Sebastian again. But then the thought struck me. Would I ever really see him again?”

  • One night stand with the Billionaire    chapter 33

Anora’s POVThe morning moved quickly after breakfast. Seb drove us to the office first. The building was already buzzing when we arrived. People glanced our way, whispers starting before we even reached the elevator. I tried to ignore them, shoulders squared, but their stares pressed down on me like sharp needles. At my desk, things went smoothly enough until I excused myself to the restroom. That was where the mask slipped.I was washing my hands when two women walked in, their voices carrying even before they noticed me.“…she thinks just because she’s with him, she’s somebody,” one sneered. The other laughed. “Please, everyone knows what she is. She’s nothing but a slut who slept her way to be his PA. Then seduced him into marrying her and leaving Clara. Poor Clara.”The word hit me like a slap. For a moment, I froze as their words sank into my head. Then, I decided to pretend I didn't know what they were talking about. I turned slowly, and their smirks faltered when they saw me

  • One night stand with the Billionaire    chapter 32

Anora’s POVI slowly opened my eyes, squinting against the bright light spilling into the room. A yawn escaped me as I stared at the ceiling, still hazy from the night before. My chest tightened at the thought of last night. I didn’t know if I was going to regret it or not, but there was no denying how it felt. His touch. His kisses. The way his hands had moved over me like he had been starved. The way I’d melted into him as though no time had passed.Six years. Six long years since I’d let a man close to me. And the last man I’d ever let touch me… had been him. Now, after all that time, I’d let him in again and it felt… incredibly good. The faint smell of soap and something warm, unmistakably masculine, clung to the pillow beside me. I turned my head, rubbing my eyes, only to find the other side of the bed empty.I exhaled loudly. I wasn't suprised elbecause just like the last time, he was gone before I woke up leaving behind a stack of cash like all we had was nothing but a transac

  • One night stand with the Billionaire    chapter 31

Sebastian’s POVI pulled away from her lips and lingered there, my forehead brushing hers, searching her eyes for hesitation. I thought I’d see resistance, maybe even regret. But instead, I saw hunger. That same raw, burning look she’d given me years ago that I couldn't resist.“We can stop if you don’t want this,” I whispered, my voice husky, almost betraying the storm that raged in me.But then her hand slid up to my shoulder, fingers curling into my skin, grounding me. Her lips curved into a sly smile, her voice low and intoxicating.“I never said I wanted to stop,” she purred, tugging me back into another kiss. That was all the permission I needed. The moment her mouth claimed mine again, I lost the last thread of control I’d been holding on to. She sucked at my lower lip, her tongue sliding against mine, tasting me like she had been starving for this moment just as much as I had.I pressed closer, my body fitting against hers, until I guided her backward. We tumbled onto the bed

  • One night stand with the Billionaire    chapter 30

Anora’s POVI tried not to let my nerves show as Sebastian hugged Sara like she belonged to him. The way his arms wrapped around her, the kiss he placed on her forehead, it was too natural, too effortless. He didn’t look like a stranger meeting a child. He looked like… a father. My stomach twisted. I forced myself to stay calm, to pretend everything was fine. If he suspected, if he pressed me, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to hold up under his stare. My act back at the apartment, and even in the car on the way to the mall, had already been shaky. I’d almost given myself away. And then, the necklace. God, why had I forgotten to take it off Sara’s neck? That single mistake could ruin everything.“Bye, princess.” He kissed her forehead again before we left. Sara waved, her tiny hand gripping Vanessa’s until the car pulled away from the curb. The ride back to the mansion was thick with silence. He didn’t speak, and I didn’t dare meet his eyes. If I did, he might bring her up again—Sara—and I

  • One night stand with the Billionaire    chapter 29

Sebastian’s POV“It’s you again!”The sharp little voice hit me the moment the door opened. For a moment, I froze. Sara. The same bright-eyed child from the company. What was she doing here, in Anora’s home of all places? My driver had told me Anora left earlier, and I’d asked him to discreetly follow her. Call it worry, or maybe suspicion. Ever since she became my wife, I wasn’t about to let her wander off without knowing where. When he sent me the address, I hadn’t expected it to be her old apartment. Curiosity pulled me here, but standing face-to-face with this child again stirred a suspicion I’d been trying to silence. Before I could think it through, Anora and Vanessa stepped into view. Anora’s eyes met mine, and I caught the flicker of surprise before she schooled her face into amusement. Too late. I’d already seen it.“You… you’re here,” she stammered, her smile brittle.I shifted my gaze back to Sara, who was beaming at me like I’d just hung the moon. Even her hazel eyes seeme

  • One night stand with the Billionaire    chapter 28

Anora’s POV“I’m not staying in the same room with you,” I said firmly, turning toward the door. My voice carried finality, and for once, he didn’t try to stop me. Relief started to creep in, until his voice cut through the silence.“Wait.”I froze, my hand already on the doorknob.“If you’re not comfortable staying with me, fine. Sleep here. Alone. Just for tonight.” His footsteps moved closer, steady, unhurried. “But remember, it’s only for tonight.”I stiffened as he leaned in, his breath brushing my ear when he whispered, “Tomorrow night, I won’t be so merciful.”A shiver ran down my spine before I could stop it. What was that supposed to mean? Whatever it was, I wasn’t about to sit around worrying. I could defend myself if I had to.He walked out, the door clicking softly behind him.I turned back to the large bedroom, the huge bed stretched neatly in the center, expensive sheets practically glowing under the dim light. Why would he give this up for me? I didn’t need his comforta
