Early Saturday morning, the functionaries who were not partakers of the just concluded convent games returned to school. “We have just five days to summarize our plan, we have gotten the contributions from all the interested guys, but we need one more guy to complete the transport money”. The boys after the morning prayers were already washing up. The junior boys and the senior boys were involved in all manner of clean-ups. The functionaries were fully involved knowing fully it was one of their last assignments. However, Shola and his men were already on the move to go for the visiting day of the convent girls. Their plan remains at 1 pm to make the move. They were also involved in the cleaning up and it was Shola who took the junior students to the principal's house for proper cleaning of the house and environment. The principal was excited to behold his dedication and leadership. On the other hand, Terry also took some boys to the chaplain quarter for clean-up too. Preparations for the inter-seminary games became more consistent than in the other weeks. The minor games preparation had been ongoing for weeks but this week, it will be fully for all the games, mainly outdoor games, and a few indoor games. The principal had directed the chaplain to find a space of about 30 minutes to talk to the students this morning in line with the preparations and requirements. Days after the senior students of the exam class had their meeting, the new functionaries emerged. Daniel was given the post of deputy head boy. The students were extremely happy when he was mentioned as the deputy head boy. For the first time in the history of the school, a student who didn't start from scratch takes that critical position. The teachers who voted for the positions with the functionaries emeritus were also happy. Although the senior boys of the exam class knew they entered a big soup when he was selected, they were still happy with him. At the chapel hall, on this day of handing over of the positions with the files, the whole board of management was available for the great event. Daniel along with the new functionaries began the work excellently. The school was quite enjoyable and the junior boys were at peace with the new set of functionaries. Daniel's classmates were more focused than Shola. Academically too, the boys are much better. Daniel within days of assuming the office has become the favorite of the students. The junior boys are free with him and can open up issues to him. Those that are suffering academically, he puts them through and offers them much help. He also gives food to those that don't have it and ensures no one cheats on the place of food. The principal immediately saw himself loving the functionaries. He even does have time with them more than he did with the former.
