LOGIN"Y-You..." Abby, the woman who asked him the question, was left speechless by what he said. After stuttering for a while at a loss of words, she stormed out of the room fuming in anger and humiliation. She wanted to say something more to him, but what he said was not completely wrong.
He was as refined as a diamond, while she was a crude crystal that did not even hold a candle to him and his majestic presence.
Levian looked with an expressionless and apathetic face at the young woman who walked out of the room with a flushed out and embarrassed face.
Getting up from the bed, Levian stretched out his limbs and body, which was stiff for a long time.
Talking about time, since the room was dark, he had no idea what time it was now.
With a single swift movement of his hand, he opened the curtains, drawing the folds aside. The golden light of the evening sun fell right on his dark brown eyes, making him squint them a bit before they adjusted to the sudden brightness.
“Fuck!! It’s already evening.”
HE cursed when he realized he had been sleeping the whole day like a log beside some strangers. It was weird for someone like him who was a valiant germ phobic person.
It was not possible, but what if…. When his thoughts started to wander around, his phone rang, breaking his thoughts and bringing him back to reality.
Without looking at the caller ID, he picked up the phone.
“It was you right?” Levian did not even give a chance for the person on the phone on the other side to speak.
“What do you mean by that it was me?” A man who was drinking in a pub at that time with a few hot ladies in his arms acted oblivious when he was accused of something.
Levian frowned upon hearing his answer, which made him even more irritated than before.
“Don’t play dumb Jack.” Rubbing his temples, he looked out of the window of the room he was in. He could see the busy street from there, as cars and buses ran on the roads one after the other like a continuous process.
“Damn, you caught me way too soon!” Jack Tori let out an amused laughter. This young man was the only son of one of the largest conglomerates in the country and a well-known flirt and playboy who was also famous as the one-night stand man in all the famous nightclubs and bars.
“It was obvious Jack.” Levian let out a helpless sigh, since he could finally remember the last thing before he blacked out was Jack offering him a glass of alcohol.
“Dude, you are too stoic,” Jack answered from the other side of the phone.
“You are already a 25-year-old full-fledged man, and you still haven’t popped your cherry.” Jack glanced at the giggling ladies in front of him and gestured them to be silent, keeping a finger over his mouth.
“I just found a girl for you as your friend and brother.”
“That’s none of your business.” Levian darkened slightly upon hearing his reason, even though he had predicted it beforehand.
“Don’t do anything like this in the future.” Without hearing the response from the other side, Levian cut off the phone and threw it on the bed beside him.
He was still tired even after sleeping the whole day. No wonder he did not budge even when someone else was sleeping beside him, although he hated having physical contact with people; especially strangers.
The place he was currently in was the XX hotel, one of the branches of the hotel owned by the father of Jack.
He looked at his sweaty body and felt disgusted with himself. I have to take a bath and clean up first. He thought and stood up from the bed in one swift motion. Picking up his white shirt and black suit and coat, he got dressed and was ready to leave in less than five minutes.
“Is the car still parked in the underground parking lot?” Levian picked up the key from the table beside him and called Jack once again.
“Yes... Are you leaving already?” Jack had hoped he would spend another day there in heavenly bliss and pleasure, but his brother was just too much of a virtuous man. Hearing the end call of the phone, he let out a sigh.
“Honey, what’s wrong?” A girl snuggled up in his arms and asked like a cat.
Jack looked at the girl that was pasting herself on his body with her lips puckered into a pout and her cleavage clearly open to him and wondered why his good friend, Levian, hated touching them.
………
Levian washed his face and directly took the elevator to go to the basement where there was the parking lot.
His head was still a bit fuzzy. As he was walking, his head suddenly felt dizzy, forcing him to halt on the spot to wait for it to subside.
“What?” Levian was dumbfounded when a hand approached to grab him out of nowhere.
‘An ambush in the bright daylight?’ That was the first thing in his mind and he was ready to fight back when…
Wait… Am I falling down? Before he could even complete his series of thoughts, he landed heavily on the concrete floor.
Thank heaven, he placed his elbows out to support himself, preventing his head from splattering into a bloody mess.
That was okay, but what was the weight on top of him?
Levian looked with a frown at the woman who had used him as a cushion to break her fall, his veins in the forehead twitching in anger.
‘Wait, where are you touching me woman?’ He looked stupefied and surprised at the woman who was running her claw all over his chest, feeling the linings of the abs in his stomach.
Am I getting molested in bright daylight? By a pervert woman?
That was the thought of Levian Smith, the man who hated being touched by others more than anything.
Sherry took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and turned around. When she opened them, she was looking straight at her own reflection."So pretty!" The shop assistant clasped her hands together, eyes bright. "So, what do you think?"Sherry studied herself carefully in the mirror. The beaded white gown had a fitted corset that cinched at her waist and an overflowing skirt with a long train. It was exactly right. She gave a soft smile."This is the one."It was her third time in this boutique: the same showroom, the same assistant, a different dress. The only thing that was completely different this time was the reason she was smiling. The assistant beamed and fixed a delicate organza veil into her hair, stepping back to admire the result."Do we call your fiancé in?"Sherry shook her head. "I want it to be a surprise."She twirled once, satisfied. "Let's finalize this one."***Levian had been waiting in the indoor café. By the time Sherry walked out, there were four empty coffee cups on
"She begged," Aldrevon said simply. "Your mother. The whole time, she begged. Not for herself." His eyes stayed on Sherry's face. "For you.""The pure horror on their faces as they watched me carry you away, a crying mess..." Aldrevon shuddered. "That's when I realized how sweet this emotional torture tastes."He tilted his head. "And then I remembered something. You. Three years old, unaware of everything. The perfect piece to finally get the perfect revenge on the Lona family.""So I thought, wouldn't it be interesting? Let her grow up in complete ignorance. Let her believe her parents died ordinary deaths. Let her live peacefully, happily, completely unaware. And then, one day, bring her back. To the land her family abandoned. To the ashes of her ancestors. And make the last blood of House Lona kneel before me." His voice dropped to a whisper. "Only then would I have killed you.""I spent a lot of manpower and resources on you. You should feel honored." He continued smiling as if he
As the tanks crossed the border and rolled into Northern territory, the soldiers began cheering. It started with one voice, then spread down the line until the whole column was alive with it, fists raised, rifles lifted toward the sky. They moved like men who had already won, the armored vehicles advancing in a loose, confident formation that looked more like a victory parade than an invasion.Aldrevon watched from his command vehicle with quiet satisfaction."Report," he said.Adannael Poe, who had finally earned a merit after delivering Andreas like a wrapped gift, was the first to respond. "Your Lordship, the northern soldiers appear to have deserted their posts entirely. The sector is empty. It seems the air strikes this morning drove them out."Aldrevon's eyes narrowed slightly. "The entire sector."Belingjun Joe, Team Leader of Team Badagar, confirmed it without hesitation. "No resistance whatsoever, Your Lordship. The road to the capital is open."The cheering continued around
The first explosion came without warning. The windows of Saul’s residence shook violently, rattling in their frames as a deafening blast rolled across the city like a wave. The teacup in Sherry's hand slipped from her fingers and shattered against the wooden floor. Everybody froze in their seat. Nobody moved. Nobody spoke. Then the second explosion hit, farther away but harder, and the building shuddered around them.Sherry was on her feet before she realized she had stood. "What was that?"The answer came before anyone could speak. A siren cut through the air, sharp and high, and then another joined it, and another, until dozens of them screamed across the city all at once.Saul placed down his cup as he stood up with a solemn expression. "It has begun."Outside, the streets transformed within seconds. People poured out of shops and doorways, stumbling into the open and looking upward at the thick column of smoke already climbing into the morning sky. "What happened?""Was that an
The meeting room adjacent to the main hall was small. It had a long table, eight chairs, and a large map pinned to the wall with colored markers pressed into various points along the border. Six generals were already seated when they entered. Older men, mostly. Saul took his seat at the head of the table. "Gentlemen. As I mentioned, Mr. Smith has been operating inside the South for some time. I'd like us to hear what he knows."All eyes moved to Levian. He had sat across from harder rooms than this one. He folded his hands on the table and started talking. “He has already formed alliances with other nations for rations and medical support.” He began speaking. “What about the weapons?” One of the old generals asked.Levian turned to look at him, “He had everything shipped to him. He is ready for the war.” Then he turned to look at Saul. “Maybe even more than the Northern Udyous.”By the time the meeting wrapped up, the room’s atmosphere was heavy. The generals left one by one after
The dining hall was far more modest than Sherry had expected. For someone who controlled the entirety of Northern Udyous, Saul Kaelhart's residence had none of the excessive luxury she had imagined. The room was spacious, certainly, but simple. A long wooden table stood at the center, surrounded by tall windows that looked out over a quiet garden.Fresh bread, eggs, soup, and tea had already been laid out.Sherry sat beside Levian while Victor took the seat across from them. For the first few minutes, the conversation stayed light. Saul asked mostly about their journey, and Sherry was grateful for it. Her body was still exhausted. Her mind even more so.Now and then, she caught Saul studying her. Not openly. Just glances, quick enough that someone less tired might have missed them. Finally, Saul set his cup down. "Miss Sherry."She put down her fork and looked at him. "Yes?""Can you tell me a little about your family?"The room grew slightly quieter."Everyone's gone," Sherry said, w
Bella watched in horror as Sherry made her way out of the door.“Wait…” Bella tried to call her but the same pain engulfed her stomach. Her voice was too thin and small for Sherry to hear so she did not realize Bella was calling for her.The bungalow of Lona Family wa
POV Levian SmithThe room was dark with only a faint light that entered through the gaps in the plain curtain of the room. With a glance one could easily say that it is one of the luxurious room in the whole place taking all the furnishing materials into considerations. In the middle of
“Mam, who might you be looking for?” The receptionist in the company of Chris’s company asked Sherry as soon as she stepped in side the lobby of the company. It was almost time for the work hours to be over so she was curious when a customer appeared at this time of day.,
POV SherryComing out of the closet, Sherry walked silently like an assassin towards the king sized bed and looked at the sleeping face of her best friend and her bloated stomach, her red eyes moving back and forth.“Why are you doing this to me?” Sherry felt her heart break
