He didn’t speak. He only smiled and the glass in his hand, held too tightly against his palm when Dante placed his hand on my lap.

Damon glanced at me, his smile filled with darkness when the glass shattered in his hand, and his blood dripped to the floor.

“Be careful brother.” Dante mocked and I looked away.

His smile scared me more than his terror, his silence scared me even more than his words did.

“He is not going to forgive us for this,” I whispered.

“Damon can’t and will not hurt us, he is filled with rage and anger and he will make a mistake, I just have to wait for when,” Dante added and I felt my body filled with sharpness.

Damon is not even in my mind. He is not using my mark to make me feel pain, this is unlike him.

I should be happy but I am not, this is temporary and it made my insides boil with fear.

“What happens when David leaves Dante? What will we do, your brother never forgives, right now he is thinking of ways he can make sure we are dead.” I breathed out.
