In a Rogue Pack

They had been walking for quite a long time and Aiden kept wondering when they would get to the so-called pack — if there was even a pack. What if all these were just a set-up to lead him somewhere he shouldn't be?

If he was being honest with himself, he would admit that he was starting to think coming along with them was a big mistake.

The alpha didn't look like she meant any harm but Aiden knew better than to judge from outward appearance. He had seen people do evil things regardless of their comely appearance so he would not be surprised if this alpha turned out to be evil.

"Are you tired?" The deep voice of the alpha invaded his thought and he turned to see her looking at him. They had been walking quietly so this was the first she was saying to him since they started this journey.

"No." He shook his head, glancing away from her to avoid her intense gaze. The way she stared at him was as though she could see through him and he was bothered that she might see through his lies
