Jessica POV I slowly woke up, wrapped in warmth. I could feel the bond sparks between Cole’s body and mine. I had not opened my eyes, when I felt his lips touch my forehead. “Good morning, sweetheart,” he murmured against my skin. I snuggled further into his body, “Is it?” I asked sadly. “Any morning you wake up, alive and in my arms, is a good morning,” he confirmed, as I opened my eyes and looked up into his. “We are going to be okay,” he assured me. I felt tears fill my eyes, but I willed them to not fall. “I know,” I agreed, emotion clogging my throat. “What happens next?” I asked, as Cole moved to stand beside the bed. “We get the clearance to take you home. Then we figure out what we do with this woman,” he commented. I had forgotten about her. Grayson’s mate. He had said take care of my sister. Was it her? And how was that possible? “Did she say anything while I was in surgery?”
