What should I do with you?

Alexandra couldn't comprehend when she had stopped crying, the dried-up tears on her face. The portrait was securely tucked in her arms. Her eyes held nothingness, looking like a lifeless being. If one were to see this they would think of her as a corpse. A beautiful corpse.

The first rays of dawn fell upon the window pane and reflected light into the four corners of the room. But she was immovable. Sitting on the cold floor, she felt legless. 

 She somehow got up from the floor, but it was hard to stand on her feet still, she stood because no one will catch her if she falls. She was sure if Aunt Margretta didn't find her in the bedroom she would be worried. The portrait was placed back in its place
