I was finishing a pretty heavy day at work. I had studied communication at the University of Madrid, Spain and I had just graduated two years ago.

I work in the creative area of Lombardi Enterprises. I still have a lot to learn in the entertainment business, but I really love what I do.

Being a pretty smart girl, I managed to stand out from the rest of my peers. I recently got promoted to the position of Creative Executive Director, many of my peers are jealous of my new position.

My fiancé, Javier Harris is a wonderful man, I met him in college, we were very good friends until he proposed me to be his girlfriend, I always liked him and it was wonderful when he proposed to me, we have been dating for two years, without a doubt he is the best man in the world.

He recently proposed to me, I am so happy, I feel very grateful to life.

"Claudia, wake up!"

"I'm sorry, what were you saying, Eva?"

"My friend, you're in another world, it's the weekend and what do you say? We go to a bar to relax a little, some guys from the office are going to go.

"No, dear. Javier is on a business trip and you know I don't like to go out without him."

My cell phone rings and I see it's my dear boyfriend.

"How are you? I miss you so much."

"Honey, I miss you too, everything is going quite well on my trip, I just won't be back tomorrow as we had agreed, apparently our new partners want us to attend an event tomorrow and I'll be back on Sunday."

"What a pity, this week of not seeing you has been eternal."

"It's not long now, in the meantime take the opportunity to go home and rest."

"All right love, take care of yourself and I'll talk to you tomorrow, good luck in your event."

"Thank you, love."

"Okay, my friend, I'm going home."

Eva grabbed my arm.

"What? Not at all, you and I are going to have fun today, I'm not going to let you stay cooped up at home on a Friday night."

"Javier told me to go home."

"I know you love him too much, but don't you think you're exaggerating, there's nothing wrong with you going out with your friend."

I thought about it for a while and realized that Eva was right, it had been a long time since I had gone out to have some fun with friends.

"Okay, but just for a little while and then I'll go home."

"Yes!"

We arrived at the bar and ordered some drinks and snacks to go with it. The atmosphere was quite fun, I looked at the clock and it was almost 11 pm. I'd better leave at once, I'm a little tired from work.

I said goodbye to everyone and picked up my bag.

As I was near the exit, I realized that there was a guy who looked very similar to Javier, I could almost swear it was him.

"I really missed him," I muttered.

I laughed a little as I realized that I was already hallucinating and I had barely had a couple of Whiskies.

The guy turned around a little and my eyes widened in shock, it really was Javier and he was accompanied by a beautiful lady.

I was very surprised, in shock.

To avoid being seen I went into the bathroom, just as they left the bar, I proceeded to follow them, I kept my distance from them.

I felt it was a game of my mind, I still could not believe what my eyes were seeing, my heart was telling me that it was not him, that I better go home, but deep down I knew it was not.

A few steps away was one of the Montserrat Hotels, right there they entered, they were very entertained with each other, giving each other many kisses and did not notice my presence.

I was sweating cold, the man I have loved the most in my life was with another woman.

They entered the room and after a few minutes, I decided to face the situation and see who was the woman he was cheating on me with.

I knocked on the door with loud knocks.

Javier opened the door, he was no longer wearing his shirt, when he saw me he opened his eyes in shock.

"Claudia, what are you doing here?"

My eyes were red from the tears streaming down my face, I pushed him away and entered the room.

I thought I was going to faint at that moment when I saw my own sister on the bed in the room with few clothes on.

"I can't believe it!," I turned to him furious, "You're sleeping with my sister, you're a fucking bastard and you Pilar, how could you do this to me? We are family."

"I don't regret anything, sis, the truth is you're quite stupid, you never realized that for a year we were lovers. You were a fool."

Javier approached me.

"Claudia, let me explain."

"What are you supposed to explain to me? That you and my sister saw my face?"

Pilar looked me straight in the eye.

Claudia, you and I are not sisters. Stop mentioning that word.

"What! Don't talk nonsense."

"If you don't believe me, ask our parents, besides, I'll never forgive you for stealing my affection. I hate you."

"Stop it Pilar, your words hurt me."

"You're naïve, did you really believe that Javier loved you? You're not pretty at all next to me, you're so common and boring."

"I told you that's enough!"

"It's the truth, sis, you don't provoke any desire in men. In these two years, did Javier ever want to touch you?"

Javier stepped between us.

"Pilar, don't go on, please stop."

"I am a fool, I trusted the wrong man, I hope you will be very happy, I will not be an obstacle in your relationship, goodbye."

At that moment, Javier grabbed my arm, Pilar asked him to let go and leave me alone.

"Beauty, let me explain to you how things happened.

"Don't call me beauty anymore, there's nothing to explain, this relationship is over, you're a jerk and yet you had the nerve to propose to me, don't ever speak to me again."

I left in tears, I could not assimilate what my eyes had seen, besides Pilar's words kept going round and round in my head.
