Luciano Bernardi, the man who had the power to numb me in one finger’s snap. He was standing before my eyes, near the glass window, his hands in his suit-pockets. While there stood his men apart from him, outspread in every corner of this lounge, steady to obey any command given by the man I become terrified of the most. Luciano’s aura was frighteningly aloof and that teased me the most. His eyes expressed nothing. No emotions, just blank there and that was a thing to worry about. 

I had no clue why I was here. What sin did I do to attain the devil’s attention? His sharp jaw looked like a weapon ready to slaughter the lamb—me. I sighed loudly, my eyes joined with his and God knew from where I got the courage to look straight in those piercing hazel eyes. 

I mustered up the courage from within to speak my side, “W—Why am I h-here?” These simple words were the most difficult to utter at the moment, it’s like there was nothing
