Chapter 15

Emily's POV;

I was woken up by the alarm sound from my phone. After turning it off, I looked beside me, Mr Hamilton wasn't there like always. I don't know why but i wanted to see Mr Hamilton by my side when i woke up someday. Waking up to the empty bed kinda feels kinda lonely.

After tying up my hair high, I got up from the bed to take a shower. When I came out, Mary kept the milk on the table.

(Mary - one of the maids who work in Mr Hamilton's house during the weekends)

I asked Mary, "Did Mr Hamilton leave for work?"

"No, mam."

"Where is he then?"

"I saw him working in his office when I went to give him coffee."

"Did he eat breakfast?" I asked while drying my hair.

"No, mam."

"Thank you. You can leave now."

After she left, I walked to the window and saw the garden where the workers were clearing up the dried leaves. Some were removing the weeds and some were planting new plants. Among the workers, I spotted Henry. He was saying something to the workers.

After drinking my milk, I
