~ Adrain ~

I shut my eyes tightly and slumped on my bed.

Emilia Grayson was making me go crazy. I’ve never felt this way about any woman before.

And remembering I almost had erections when I stayed in the same space with her made me always leave her sight quickly, or dismissing her made me more confused.

I hated humans to the core, but Emilia was just different.

She has a nice body and curves too, but wanting her so bad was out of it.

I had women at my beck and call, but everything about Emilia seemed different.

I tossed in my bed, unable to get my mind off her.

“Damn it,” I hissed. I hated it when the thought of someone occupies my mind this way, and worse still, a human. They were weaklings, nothing but weak beings.

I flinched when I heard Austin's voice from outside my room.

“Alpha, your presence is needed; Emilia is in pain."

I sprang up from my bed at the mention of 'Emilia.'

“Where is she, Austin?" I breathed, pushing him out of my way.

He pointed towards the end of the hallway.

I nodded sharply and sprinted towards Emilia's room.

“What happened, Emilia?" I asked, rushing towards her as I spotted her sitting on the bare floor. Her face was pale, twisted in a grimace, like she was in serious pain.

She pointed at the Moonlight frame that was lying on the floor.

“It fell on me." She pouted and clutched her ankle.

I sighed in relief. "Was that why Austin called me, like you were caught up by a wolf?”

“Yes." She nodded.

“I asked him to go get you when he rushed in to help. " She whined.

I stood staring at her; she was acting like some fragile glass that would break at the slightest fall.

“I want to stand. " She grumbled.

"Andddd…" I dragged the words, pretending not to know what she meant.

“Help me up, please." She stretched out her hands, whimpering.

I took her hands and helped her up. But she couldn’t stand well; she limped on her left leg where the frame had hit her.

“Ouchhhhh." She groaned and forcefully slipped her hands from mine and used it to hold the exact spot the pains were coming from.

“How did the frame possibly hit you?"

“I was trying to replace it with this." She said and pointed at an old piece of drawing.

I gasped in shock and walked to where the drawing was and picked it up.

“Where did you find it? " I asked.

She pointed to the dresser drawer in the room.

I grazed the full moon drawing with my palm and turned it back for confirmation. And it was still written there. ‘Charlotte’

“Her last piece of drawing," I smiled.

Then tossed it back on Emilia's bed, erasing the thought of ever giving it back to Charlotte.

Emilia wanted it by the way.

“Ouchhhhh." She winced again, and my gaze returned to her.

I couldn’t bear the sight of her groaning and whining anymore. I carried her up and laid her on the bed.

I looked into her eyes for a while, then crawled over, my knees pressed on either side of her, and my palms lay flat on the space above her head. I made sure not to touch her.

Her eyes dulled as she locked her gaze with mine.

“It’s time you move in with me.” I said, searching her eyes for her reaction.

"What?" She raised her eyebrows, confused.

"I mean, it’s time you move in to my room. I wouldn’t want some people noticing this marriage is fake.” I blurted, not even sure of why I wanted her in my room.

“You aren’t serious." She laughed. “Everyone will definitely find out it's fake after the 30th day."

And yes, she was right; it isn’t like they wouldn't find out it was a fake marriage, though. But that isn’t the reason I wanted her in my room.

I just felt maybe she could disappear or get hurt or even run away if I let her stay all by herself.

And so, I wanted her to stay close to me so I could watch her all day.

“I can’t move in with you." She finalized and shut her eyes to avoid my peering gaze.

My gaze dropped to her lips, and then I lowered my nose to her cheek, enjoying her scent.

“Wh…. What are you do…ing?” She stuttered almost in a whisper.

“Inhaling the scent of my Luna," I sniffled.

My hand brushed her head that splayed on the bed, and it dawned on me she just had her bath.

I pulled a strand of her black hair that stuck to her face, and then she swallowed hard and opened her eyes.

My gaze dropped to her chest, and that was when I realized she wasn’t putting on a bra.

Her shirt was partially soaked and clung tightly to her body.

Her hardened nipples pressed against the fabric like they were begging for attention.

"A...d...r...i...a...n," she moaned and used her left hand to cover her chest.

Her cheek was flushed in embarrassment, and she pushed me off her body slightly.

“I’m sorry for pushing you." She murmured and sat up.

I nodded and climbed off her bed.

"Sorry for the injury, wifey," I purred and turned to leave.

“Ivy will come and assist you in moving your things to my room.” I noted

She shrugged her shoulders. "It isn’t necessary I come to your room, Alpha.”

I stopped mid-steps and stepped closer.

“You don’t alter my words. I’m the Alpha of this pack. " I reminded her in case she had forgotten.

My gaze dropped back to her soaked shirt again, and this time around, I saw clearly.

Her pink nipples were almost ripping out of her white shirt.

She followed my gaze and turned her back on me when she found my eyes on her breast.

Damn it, Adrain. She is just going to see you as a weakling who trembles at the mere sight of a lady's body.

~ Emilia ~The bang I felt on my head when I woke up was massive.I smiled, remembering how Adrain carried me in his arms to my room and then tucked me into bed after I told him I felt sleepy. He really cared, though. He ensured the vase didn’t hit my head, not just once but thrice. How do you feel when someone you think doesn't love you suddenly starts to care? The feeling is reassuring, so reassuring that you would fall for him again.I rolled myself out of the bed and headed to the bathroom. When I came back to my room, my mind raced back to the event that played earlier. How could a vase drop from the servants' quarters not even once but three whole times?Something is off. I sat down on my bed and crossed my leg, looking up to the sky as the thoughts flew in.I saw the figure, at least from his neck down to his head. But they were all covered in a black mask; I couldn’t see his face. Why would someone throw off a vase without even checking if someone was there? Let's say the v

~ Adrain ~I paced in my room, patiently waiting for Austin to arrive.“You called me." Austin bowed as soon as he stepped in."Earlier at the courtyard, did you make sure all the guards were present?" I stopped to face him.He tilted his head, then nodded."Yes, Alpha, I made sure they all left their quarters."“No," I shook my head. “They didn’t all leave their quarters.” I leaned closer.“Who then threw the glass?"“The glass?" Austin echoed, confused.“Yes, the vase. Not just once or even twice, but thrice. Three fucking times." I made the sign with my hands for clearer understanding.Austin still looked confused, and then I knew I needed to explain.“After addressing the guards, I was leaving and then bumped into Emilia, and next thing, a vase fell from the servant quarters almost hitting her.” I paused.Austin's expression was unreadable, but a mix of shock and confusion was written all over him.“I pulled her out the first time, the second, and the third time." I clenched my fi

  • Sold To The Alpha, Now I'm A Werewolf    The Alpha's Cruelty

~ Emilia ~ I watched Adrain leave and shook my head in disgust. Adrain isn't even worth my love. But wasn’t I even a fool for falling for someone who made it clear in the first place that our marriage was just for paper's sake and nothing else attached to it? But something off was going on in this pack. I have overheard Austin complaining about a curse and the death of someone. I hissed; it shouldn’t be any of my business though. The pack's affairs aren't meant to be bothering me. My next plan was finding out more about Charlotte and how she is anyway, Ava. I looked at the drawing and made up my mind not to continue with it or even look at it ever again. I needed to concentrate on my well-being till the marriage days elapse, and I would leave just as he said. I folded back the half-painted drawing, including the box of instruments I needed for the drawing, and headed outside to trash it. I didn’t want to trash it anywhere close because looking at it might make me wa

  • Sold To The Alpha, Now I'm A Werewolf    I Was Never The One

~ Emilia ~I had waited up almost all night waiting for Adrain. But he didn’t show up.I was a bit confused on why I was actually waiting for him, not like he cared about me, though. We weren’t even married as normal couples. It was just a contract marriage that would last for a few days.“I don’t think he is going to show up, ma'am. " His beta Austin bowed after watching me pacing up and down in the living room for hours."It's fine, Austin. Not necessarily waiting for him, though. I just couldn’t sleep.”Adrain moved towards the door. “Alpha mentioned he wouldn’t be home early, so I think you should just go in and sleep." He said and left."My goodness," I exhaled. Why was I even waiting for someone who didn't know I was waiting for him?I sighed heavily and went up to my room.I tossed on my bed, trying to sleep, but I couldn’t.I rose from the bed and decided to still wait for him a little while.I came back to the living room and sat down; my mind raced with thoughts as I stared
