Chapter 16

"Ah, you're awake. Good morning"

It was Jack. How did I get here?! I shifted away from him, a look of pain crossed his face when I did that.

"H-how did I get here?"

"I saved you. Do you remember?" He was so calm. he has never been this calm.

Flashbacks of yesterday ran through my head. She was going to kill me! But how did he know?

"I have to go," I said getting up from the bed.

"To where? Xavier's place?" He said Xavier's name with disgust.

And yes, that was where I was going. To see my child.

"Carrie is here." He said.

What?! That means he has met her. But I still have to leave this place, there was no way I was going to stay here.

I pretended I didn't hear him, you could tell he was growing angry and irritated. That's how he has always been. He gets angry quickly.

"Leave, please." I pleaded. I had to get ready. His jaw clenched before going outside.

Immediately after he left I ran to the door, locking it.

I quickly had my bath. It was funny because all my clothes had already been brought here.

I got ready. Packing back my things and my bag, I got out. I have to look for Carrie.

I looked around for Daisy, where could she be?

"You're going to fucking go to him?" I turned to see Jack. He was in pain. Because I was going back to Xavier's house?

I don't even know why I was so desperate to go back to Xavier's place. It was not because I own or work for him.

I felt something for him. Was I in love with him?

"I-"

"You what? Don't tell me you have feelings for him." He sneered out.

I guess that angered me. "And what if I do?! It's none of your business! You're just my ex-"

"Shut.up." he gritted. His jaw was clenching and unclenching.

"I get it, you saved me. But that doesn't give you any access to my life!"

By now I was pinned to the wall. "I have every fucking access to you! You heard that?!" He growled.

Why was he like this? Did he take pills or something?

I was crying. "N-no you don't! Y-" I was cut off when he started sulking my neck. He was going to rape me!

I tried pushing him off but he won't budge.

"No! Please s-stop, don't do this. Please." I cried. I managed to tear myself from him. Going to the doorway. He caught me before I could move. The gown I was wearing was torn.

"Please Jack, don't do this. I beg of you. Please." I cried. He suddenly released me and I fell to the floor crying. Holding my scattered hair.

He seems to have just noticed what he had done. He looked at his hand before growling. "Ahhhhh"

I remained there on the floor, too weak to do anything, I was just crying.

Third Person's POV:

After what had happened between Jack and Lily, Jack had left. He didn't trust himself with her.

He had ruined his chance of getting back with her. But he wasn't going to give up. He loved her so much. He would do anything to get her to love him again. Anything.

Lily left Jack's house with Carrie after he had left. She just reached Xavier's place. She was holding herself not to breaking down in front of Daisy.

When she reached in she took Carrie back to her room. She put her back to sleep. All Lily wanted at that moment was some time to herself.

She went to the living room. A figure in front of her. Her head slowly lifting, she saw Xavier. He had just come back.

Lily's POV:

I slowly looked up to see Xavier. When did he get here? He was in his suit, his hair was styled. He looked so handsome.

"What happened?" He must have noticed I have been crying. I suddenly broke down again.

Wrapping my hand around him. I cried on his chest. He froze but eventually wrapped his arms around me.

I felt safe in his arms. We stayed like this for a long time.

What was I doing?!

I slowly separated myself from him.

"What happened." He demanded. I can't tell him. No, I can't.

So I lied.

But he didn't believe me...

Two months later:

It's been two months since the incident. My relationship with Xavier has improved. Not that type of relationship.

I went back to work and everything was normal again. I haven't heard from James.

Xavier and Paisley are engaged. Anytime she was over at Xavier's house, she'd be mean to me and Daisy. That was why I was planning to buy an apartment. I just met with an agent.

I just reached the hospital with Daisy. We were going to see Layla. Daisy would probably be surprised to see two of me. Layla just woke up three days back.

We entered the room. Layla was eating. She didn't seem pleased to see me.

She had never seemed pleased to see me.

Her eyes dropped on Carrie, before going back to me. She had never been a fan of kids.

She rolled her eyes.

I almost laughed when Carrie looked at me and her and started crying.

I rocked her. "What are you doing here, and what's that?" She referred to Carrie

I rolled my eyes. "She is a who, and her name is Carrie. She is my daughter." I should have been angry.

"She has a father? Or you were whoring around." That hurts.

"She has a father... We divorced." A look of sorry passed through her face but was gone as soon as it came.

She does care deep down.

"A guy came over, he had asked for you. He said I should give you this." She said, giving me a brown bag with papers in it.

Who brought this?

I looked at it. My heart started beating fast. Who sent this.
