I will get you

Davina visible went stiff as she heard his voice. Sebastian walked closer standing behind Vivian and said, "What are you waiting for? Shoot."

Davina looked conflicted with the coldness in his eyes, "I'll really shoot her." Davina said stubbornly.

"Then do it." Sebastian said casually with his hands in his pockets.

Vivian was a bit taken aback by the casualness in his tone, it was as if he really would like to see her get shot. It wasn't much of a surprise to her though, with how dangerous the man was killing her wouldn't mean that much to him, she wondered if she was just an object they picked up to play with and kill afterwards.

Davina cracked the gun and immediately sound of gunshots filled the air with loud booms.

"Ah!" The sudden sounds frightened Vivian that a small scream escaped her lips and she jumped, she waited for the pain to set in but a second later when she felt nothing she looked down at herself still intact. Glancing up at Davina, the woman had the gun pointed in the air.

"For this woman... This ordinary woman, how could you choose her over me? How?" Davina was heaving with rage as she questioned Sebastian. Even though he had seemed to give her the permission to shoot, she didn't have the guts to mess with Sebastian, even if her father was Callisto Rocco, who was a mafia Don of the southern territory, but even he couldn't mess with Sebastian.

"This ordinary woman is the one I choose, this ordinary woman is my wife. You have two options, apologize to her or face the consequences of threatening to take her life." Sebastian's deep voice was firm.

Davina was enraged by his demand that she couldn't believe it at first, "You want me to apologise... To her?"

"Don't make me repeat myself Davina" Sebastian said.

Tears visibly welled up in Davina's eyes as she stared at Sebastian with hurt, "And what will you do to me if I don't? Will you kill me? You can't kill me Sebastian because if you do, you are also going to have to face some consequences."

"Of course I won't kill you, but there are a million and one punishments worse than death, I'll send you to your father afterwards with your crime of attempting to kill my wife, we'll see then if he can refute why I punished you." Sebastian steadily remarked.

Davina was stumped, she had been engaged with Sebastian ever since she could remember, their families had mutually arranged their marriage, just last month a date had been picked for the ceremony, she was ecstatic because she would finally become his wife, but all of a sudden she was told that he'd gotten married to some unknown woman. Davina had always felt how coldly Sebastian behaved around her, but never would she have expected that he would suddenly call off their wedding by marrying someone else.

"You've got ten seconds to apologise or receive punishment, ten, nine, eight..." Sebastian didn't like to waste time as he began a countdown.

Davina knew Sebastian's punishment weren't something to be trifled with, but as she glanced at Vivian, the hatred in her heart increased, "If you still want to punish me even after I didn't shoot her, then I'd rather shoot her and face your punishment afterwards." Davina said and pointed the gun at Vivian again, this time without any sign that she would hesitate to pull the trigger.

Seeing the look in her eyes Sebastian snapped a finger, and all his men including his consigliere standing beside him all immediately cracked their guns pointing straight at Davina's head.

"Go on, take the shot." Sebastian encouraged.

Davina was surprised he had mobilized this sort of ultimate killing mode on her, a lot of his men were afraid of her because of her father but with an order from Sebastian, they wouldn't hesitate to kill her on the spot and rain hundreds of bullets on her. But the thought of losing Sebastian to another woman infuriated her, she had her hands against the trigger just a second away from pressing down on it when a black car and a light grey van came to stop outside Sebastian's mansion.

A few guards came down and opened the back seat, first a walking cane came into view, then an older looking man with a cowboy hat stepped out of the car.

"Aren't you going against the terms of our bargain grandson? The deal said you will marry Davina if I get rid of this woman, don't tell me you're trying to kill Davina to go against the deal?" Gerald remarked as he strode towards the commotion.

"Grandpa!" Davina called out upon sighting Gerald, she'd already considered herself his granddaughter in law and they were quite close.

"Tell them to lower their weapons you cheating fucker!" The old man yelled at Sebastian.

With a snap of Sebastian's finger all the men lowered their guns.

"Am at my own house old man, who between us is cheating?" Sebastian queried sardonically.

"Fine, the fault is on my side, I'll just take her away and we'll resume the wager as usual how about that?" Gerald gestured for Davina to come over to his side.

"She can't leave, she'll be in my custody for a while." Sebastian wasn't going to allow the old man take Davina away just like that, he wasn't a person who forgave grudges.

"Look, she wasn't in her senses earlier, why don't you just let it pass." Gerald tried to reason.

"You know me, I don't let things pass old man." Sebastian retorted.

"Alright, that's like my grandson. Ok, I won't tell you to let it go, let's add it to the wager shall we, if I fail to take out this woman, I'll hand Davina to you to do as you see fit, how about that." The man tried to make a bargain in order to save Davina from Sebastian's punishment.

"Why should I listen to you?" Sebastian wasn't about to give in.

"Because that woman is right here in front of me, I could take her life in a second if I wanted to." Gerald said gesturing to his small army of men standing behind him who had gotten down from the van.

"This is my territory old man, what makes you think you'll succeed in killing my woman and get away with it?" Sebastian narrowed his eyes.

"Our code little boy, we can go against the world but not each other, if we do this, it will be an all out battle over here and there's no telling who will end up victorious, so why don't we just stick to the small wager and let just the woman be our target." Gerald said.

"Is this a threat? You should be aware I never back out from a threat."

Gerald stalked towards Sebastian and Sebastian grabbed Vivian pulling her behind him protectively, the sudden act stunned her as she glanced at his broad back in confusion.

"And if I say it's not a threat?" Gerald asked, "Besides, I still have the wager to solve my problem, I wouldn't look for a war for that."

"Alright, but if that woman trespasses in my territory once more to threaten my wife, then she shouldn't even think of leaving intact." Sebastian warned staring at Davina directly.

"Well, deal." Gerald agreed and turned to leave after sending a smug glance at Vivian behind Sebastian, his looks held disdain as if she wasn't even capable of protecting herself without Sebastian, while his gaze on Davina held immense doting.

"Let's go dear." He attempted to lead Davina to his car but she didn't budge as she stared at Sebastian.

"You are forgetting something Sebastian, we both have the stubborn blood of the mafia running through our veins, if you can stubbornly stand up for this woman, so also can I fight to get you, and something about the mafia that you know very well is we can do anything to get what we want, you are something that I want Sebastian, and I'll do everything I can to get you for myself," she glanced at Vivian and added, "You can try to keep this bitch safe... If you can." She turned to leave after saying her piece.

The old man smiled happily giving Sebastian a 'Your woman is doomed look' before her got in his car, his men all jumped into their van and drove off Sebastian's property.

After his grandfather's cars had disappeared he finally pulled Vivian out of his back, "Are you trying to test my patience?" He asked dangerously.

"What?"Vivian wasn't certain what he was talking about.

"I kept you in this house and only I have the right to throw you out, why the hell did you let just anybody throw you out of my house!"

He seemed angry, but she didn't exactly have a choice when the woman had forcefully dragged her out.

"I had no intentions of leaving, am keeping to the end of our agreement as long as you keep to yours, don't harm Brian and I'll continue to remain here." Vivian stated expressionlessly.

Sebastian fell silent for a while glancing down at her head, Vivian had her head lowered and wasn't looking up at him, she never made any sort of eye contact with him, and everytime she saw him it was all professional, she made it clear that she would act as his wife when he needed her to and she would lock herself up in a room for the rest of the time. His face darkened at her behavior and he picked her up over his shoulder like he usually did striding into the house.

The minute Sebastian brought her into the room Vivian felt a premonition.

'Is he going to force himself on me again?' She thought dreadfully.

As her feet stepped on the floor she quickly scurried away from him, she ran to the farthest corner of the room and squeezed herself behind the couch curling her knees close to herself she buried her head in her palms sobbing lightly.

Ever since the day he forced himself on her she'd always had nightmares about it, she'd see herself begging and pleading with him but he wouldn't stop, like a raging beast he'd devour her against her will, it had imprinted a dark image in her mind.

And now as she saw the devilish anger on his face she was once again reminded of that day, of the atrocious act he'd done to her.

Sebastian silently watched her crouched and hiding behind the couch, her tiny sobs didn't escape his ears, she seemed extremely frightened and frail curled up into herself in the corner.

"Please... Don't... Please don't do this."

Her voice was extremely low he'd almost not heard her mumble amidst her sobs, but he'd moved closer and heard every word the second time. His eyes lowered and there was an unfathomable look in his dark eyes, he lingered there a bit standing over her without making a single reaction, when he glanced back at her again he extended his hand towards her as if to place his palm on her head but then hesitated, in the end he turned and silently walked out of the room without her even noticing he was gone.

Sebastian ended up taking his anger out on the rest of his men who had been present when Davina dragged Vivian out. He made sure to make it clear to them who the mistress of the house was through tough punishments, he later returned to his study room afterwards.

"Boss, are you really planning to hold a wager with the elder boss?" Albert, Sebastian's consigliere asked doubtfully.

"I don't see why not." Sebastian stated calmly.

"But... The madame can't even protect herself, what will she do in a case where she's attacked just like Davina did today when you weren't around?" Albert asked with a hand on his chin, in all honesty Albert would have very much preferred his boss married a strong woman like Davina as well, but he didn't have the guts to question Sebastian's actions.

Sebastian shot him a glare and he lowered his head, he immediately made an excuse for going back to check some things at the storage room and left the study.

Sebastian pondered over Albert's words after he left and realized there was truth in what he said, he was certain he was capable enough to protect Vivian from his grandfather, but in a case where something ended up happening to her similar to how Davina had freely entered his house when he wasn't around.

He wasn't worried about Davina, but his grandfather was an incredibly sly and clever old man, he didn't have to go openly to kill someone, his grandfather's targets had been found dead in their sleep and no one could fathom how they died, if he was going to protect Vivian from his grandfather, he'd have to take some crucial actions.
