Those promises weren’t even fair to me in the first place!” Ralph chuckled dryly. “So now they have to be fair to you?” He buckled up his pants and turned to me with his usual fierce look. I drew in a sharp breath of awe. Can he get any more handsome? He came closer and I held my breath in sheer anticipation. “You want ‘fair’, I’ll give you ‘fair’, Juliette.” He snatched my dress off the grass and threw it at me.
