Gabriel marched forward and stopped right in front of the elevator, blocking his grandfather’s way. His face was calm, but the tension in his jaw said otherwise.

His eyes flicked toward the two bodyguards standing beside Alfred. “Can you two leave us, please?” he asked firmly.

The men exchanged a quick glance and nodded before stepping aside to give them privacy.

Alfred stood quietly, his face hard and unreadable. “What is this about?” he asked, his voice low but edged with authority.

Gabriel took one step closer. His eyes didn’t waver. “You know exactly what I’m talking about, Grandfather. Please—stop whatever you’re doing. Don’t think for a second that I wouldn’t know you’re behind all of this.”

“Behind what exactly?”

“Behind mother's condition. Making it look like she's losing her mind.” Gabriel replied.

Alfred said nothing. He simply stared at him, his hands folded neatly behind his back while still holding his cane, waiting for Gabriel to finish.

Gabriel ran a hand thro

The wedding hall was beautifully decorated with life flowers. The walkway glitter like diamonds in the sky. Every arrangement was perfect. The large chandeliers glitters, casting golden light on the guests giving them a radiant look. The wedding procession was about to kick off. The priest was already standing in his place. Carl stood at the podium with the priest, waiting for the bride to walk in. The wedding was well planned. Delphine had her Bridesmaids and Carl, he also had his groomsmen. Landon was the best man and Clara, a model, was Delphine's maid of honour. Delphine's parents sat at the front row by the right while John and Gladys sat by the left. Just like John who wore a white suit, the same with Gladys, her lace dress was completely white. Everything looked perfect and you could see the bright faces of Delphine's parents. They looked happy. On the other hand, John's face was blank, no one could tell what was going on in the man's mind. The ongoing music changed a

The Wyndham estate buzzed with wedding activities. Visitors arrived at the mansion. Stone had hired the service of more security personnels for more security purposes. These security men have been divided into different sections. Some were coordinating the parking area as guests arrived. The order was to search every guest, making sure no one was able to smuggle in any dangerous weapons. Security cameras have been fixed in every strategic area of the mansion. Some cameras were visible, CCTV surveillance. While some were hidden for strategic purposes. Carl and Delphine's wedding will take place in the grand ballroom of the Wyndham family mansion. The place was just a bit of a distance from the mansion itself. While guests were still arriving, John was silently having a small meeting with his family members. The situation was intense and dangerous. John knew that the wedding would not hold. But they had to make it believable in order to achieve the purpose of it. The police and

Ben stepped out of his car and stood for a moment, staring at the tall glass building in front of him. I & A Atelier. The building rose twelve floors high, its glass walls shining under the bright Teriporto sun. People moved in and out with purpose, dressed neatly, looking busy and important. Ben adjusted his jacket and walked inside. The moment he entered, cool air welcomed him. The lobby was wide and elegant, decorated with modern art and soft lighting. He walked straight to the reception desk. Behind the desk stood a tall woman with short hair cut neatly into a pixie style. She looked professional and alert. When she saw him approach, she smiled politely. “Welcome to I & A Atelier, sir,” she said. “How may I help you?” “Hi,” Ben replied calmly. “I’m here to see the manager.” The woman nodded and turned to her computer. “Do you have an appointment, sir?” she asked while typing. “Yes,” Ben answered. “Alright,” she said after a moment. “The manager’s office is on the sixth fl

“Congratulations, brother,” Gabriel’s voice came through the phone, warm and calm. “I heard your wedding is next week.” Carl stopped pacing for a second, then continued walking slowly across the large office. The floor-to-ceiling windows showed the city outside, but his mind was far from the view. Too much had happened in the past two weeks, and work had suddenly become heavy on his shoulders. “Yes,” Carl replied, running a hand through his hair. “But we have a bigger problem right now. Father is dealing with too many things, and he can’t help much.” Gabriel sensed the tension in his brother’s voice. “What is the problem?” he asked. “Money is missing,” Carl said honestly. “Someone is stealing from the company. The good thing is that the account that was compromised has been blocked.” Carl stopped pacing and leaned against the desk. His free hand swept his hair backward again. He felt lost. Office work was not his world. He was an actor, a man who lived in front of cameras, script

John sat quietly behind his large wooden desk in his home office. The room was heavy with silence. The thick curtains of the office were drawn halfway, allowing soft light to enter, in order to ease the tension. But even that light could not ease the tension as expected. Mia and Landon sat beside one another on the long sofa across from him. Stone stood close to the door, his posture straight and composed, his hands loosely clasped behind his back. No one spoke. The silence stretched for far longer than needed. John’s face was calm, but unreadable. His eyes showed nothing, giving away no emotion. Stone looked the same—cold, controlled, and watchful. But Landon’s face was tight with anger. His jaw was clenched, his shoulders stiff. Mia sat beside him, her brows drawn together in worry. The frown on her face refused to leave. She was exhausted. So much had happened in this family, one problem after another, and it felt like there was no end to it. Every time she thought things woul

Officer Mathew stepped forward slowly. He bent down and picked up the two sophisticated guns with his gloved hands. The weapons were heavy, polished, and clearly not ordinary. He turned them slightly, checking the make, the trigger, and the small details on the metal body. A small smile curved on his lips. “Interesting,” he said quietly, more to himself than anyone else. He straightened up and turned to face Magdalene. His eyes were sharp, cold and experienced. “Woman,” he said firmly, “how did you get these guns? Who gave them to you?” Magdalene stood there, her hands shaking slightly, her face looked pale. But she refused to speak. Her lips remained tightly sealed. She stared straight ahead, refusing to meet anyone’s eyes. Officer Mathew chuckled softly. He had seen this kind of silence many times before. He knew her type very well. People like Magdalene believed silence would protect them. They believed that if they said nothing, they could not be blamed. The type that pre
