The Void cracked beneath Iris’s feet.

Fragments of broken stars floated in the darkness, their dying light shimmering faintly before winking out. In the distance, Vaelor’s monstrous form loomed, shadows billowing around him like the wings of a fallen god.

And at the center of it all, Caelum’s prison.

The crystal that encased her son pulsed with light and darkness, the two forces clashing violently inside him. His tiny fists pounded on the walls, his eyes flickering—one gold, one black—as if even his soul couldn’t decide which path to take.

“Mama… I can’t hold it much longer…” his voice cracked, thin and trembling.

“You will hold on!” Iris cried, her body trembling as she struggled to stand.

The battle had drained her. Her golden flames guttered, her shadow tendrils faltered. She could feel her Luna essence slipping away, like sand through open fingers.

But she couldn’t stop. Not now.
