“Good morning love” she kissed him and he purred like a cat, stretching lovingly.

She let out a tiny excited shriek as her hands flew down to his naked erection under the blanket.

“Naughty girl” he smiled, pulling her into a hug.

“So what now?” She asked, her voice slightly serious.

Alfred’s heart skipped a beat.

The guilt of what they had done to Mary washed through his mind once more.

His hands quivered a little as he stroked her bare back.

“I have to go to the hospital. I need to tie up loose ends” he said.

Selena flinched.

She calmed her nerves…..making a mental note of just the kind of man Alfred was.

“And?” She asked again

“We…..party” he stared into her eyes, sparks flying, emotions playing the card of queens.

“And?” She asked again, raising slightly on her elbow.

“We take all those vacations we couldn't take because of ‘her’. With the death certificate, all I need to do is show the court all the evidence I have against her plus the divorce papers and her wealth becomes mine” he smiled.

“Ours” she corrected, placing a small kiss on his lips

“Whatever is mine is yours love, you know that” he said softly, slowly raising on top of her again.

Selena flung her face to the other side of the room.

She didn't know how long she had to endure this…..but for the money, she would persevere.

She couldn't back out now…..so she let him thrust into her again, letting the fake moans he went crazy about fill the room.

A tiny bit of conscience pricked her.

Had she really taken her step sister's husband whom she didn't like in any way and still ordered her death?

Was she cruel for wanting a better life?

Mary had built a company as soon as she left her parents' house.

If her parents hadn't been mean to her, she wouldn't have had the motivation to push and become the woman she had become before her death.

Mary always took everything……everything she owned was supposed to be hers, not Mary’s.

So no……she wasn't wrong.

She was only taking what belonged to her.

She quickly called herself back and closed her eyes, pretending to shake in orgasm as she heard Alfred’s early grunts.

He was done already……might as well not have started in the first place.

She watched as he strolled to the bathroom and began to shower.

Her phone beeped.

It was her mother.

“How is it going?” A message popped up

“Perfect……just perfect” she replied and immediately deleted the message.

A few months more and she would be free.

“Baby, come join me in the shower” Alfred called out from the bathroom and her face tightened.

Few minutes later, they were driving down to the hospital, Alfred's hand squeezed into hers.

The doctor, short with a red nose, led them to the room where Mary lay.

She was now cleaned up and ready to be dumped into the morgue.

“I handled it perfectly” the doctor said, a look of pride and boredom dominating his old eyes.

“That's what you were paid for” Alfred replied, his eyes fixed on the white cloth draped over the body.

The doctor nodded, unimpressed.

“I will give you three a moment” he muttered and walked out

The couple, hands intertwined, stared at the bed and the body.

“This is it” he said after a long pause.

“Ya” Selena replied absentmindedly.

“Any last words for the dead?” He asked, trying to lighten the mood with a lame input.

“Get me the fuck out of here” Selena gagged.

Alfred's gaze shifted sharply to Selena.

She looked pale and shaken.

He wrapped his arms around her shoulder and tried to lead her out when he noticed a movement.

He froze.

“Did you see that?” He whispered

Selena’s eyes were almost running out of their sockets.

The movement came again from the dead body lying on the bed in front of them.

From Mary!

“Is she……is she alive?” Selena stammered, her breath coming in gasps.

Alfred's mouth was dry, his eyes permanently fixed on the bed.

Then it happened again, the twitch.

Selena screamed…..her lungs releasing a gasp of loud air that shook even the dead awake.

Footsteps came rushing in.

“What happened?” Someone asked.

It was their doctor…..Doctor Morgan.

He had been strolling along the corridor as if keeping watch for them.

Selena pointed to the bed “there….there, she moved….she moved” she stuttered.

The doctor threw the cover off Mary’s face and checked her pulse.

His eyes widened in shock.

“It can't be” he muttered, shaking his head in disbelief.

Alfred couldn't move.

“Is she…..alive?” Selena asked, her voice no longer sounding scared but her eyes told a different story.

There was a wild look in them……as if she was….mad.

“Yes. Her breathing is weak” Doctor Morgan nodded.

“You have to finish her off….now. she can't be alive” Selena said, her voice was not calm…..there was a rush of breath that made it almost difficult to understand her.

She was hysterical.

“I can't……I won't do it again” he said firmly.

“What? We paid you to do it. You had one job” Alfred said.

His voice was calm but venomous

His eyes stared spitefully at the doctor who didn't look intimidated in any way.

“I did it once for the money, I'm not doing it again” he stated.

“I will double the pay” Alfred offered.

Doctor Morgan opened his mouth to speak, his expression almost softened but he looked back at the body.

A single tear had run down Mary’s cheeks.

“No. I will take her to the emergency room now to commence treatment” he said finally and pushed out of the room.

“You will regret this” Selena spat at him

He shrugged indifferently and walked out.

“Do something Alfred” Selena almost yelled as the door slammed shut.

Alfred stared at Mary.

His fist tightened as his fingers dug into his palms.

He had had enough.

His eyes drifted to the bed and he made up his mind.

He approached Mary slowly, his hands landing on the pillow.

He drew it out, lifted it to his chin and the door swung open again, stopping him mid air.

It was two nurses.

They stared at him in surprise.

“We were asked to bring the patient” one said, her voice confused.

Selena suddenly let out a loud scream.

“What are you waiting for, take her immediately. If she dies, we will sue the hell out of this hospital.”

Then she turned to Alfred “she is still breathing, isn't she? I guess the pillow trick worked” she added quickly.

The nurses transferred Mary to the already prepared stretcher and rolled out of that room.

Selena looked at Alfred.

“What now?” She asked.

His jaw tightened.

“The plan must go on”
