CHAPTER 27

The familiar white ceiling, the cold air kissing my skin, plus the smell of ethanol was the first thing that I've realized as my eyes slowly popped open and revealed where I am. Though even my eyelid seemed to be still weak, I managed to roam them around and confirmed my thought; I was back in the hospital that has been my den for a week or so. And at that moment, it doesn't feel right with me. Ironic how it felt sickening despite the hospital's purpose to heal those who are sick.

Unti-unti ay tinulak ko ang sarili ko para bumangon. Ramdam na ramdam ko ang panghihina habang sinusubukan ang lahat ng makakaya ng kakarampot na lakas na mayroon ako upang panatilihin ang katawan kong nakatayo. It was as if I was a piece of paper that'd be swayed with just a single blow, walang kalakas-lakas at pinipilit na lang na itatag ang sarili.
