“I hope you fucking burn in hell,” I hissed as I poured gasoline all over Jackson’s body.

Stepping back, I watched as Michel threw a match onto the body, setting it on fire.

We stood silent, shoulder to shoulder, watching as the flames spread until no part of his body was untouched. The smoke rose higher and higher in the sky, the smell of burning flesh filling our noses. Calling the police was not an option. Everybody in town already hated us and if Bella confessed to shooting Jackson, they would have no problem locking her up.

“I’ll keep an eye on it while I tend to the horses,” Michel said softly. “Better go clean up.”

“Mind if I borrow some clothes?” David asked.

I glanced over at him and winced.

We had both tried to get Jackson’s body out of the house without getting blood on everything, but our clothes didn’t survive at all. My eyes darted over my own clothes and then to the burning body.

I’m not sure how I feel about Sin and David getting together but I’m game to see where it goes. Especially since what I assumed would be the major climax (Jackson) is essentially resolved. I just hope we get more steamy scenes! I feel like the last couple of updates have kinda jumped over them.
