Chapter 64

August's POV

I didn't know how I was able to sleep last night. Last night was a nightmare. We didn't do anything but just sit and wait for those ghosts to fade away and their screeching scream is nerve-wracking. I bet, I already have another set of bags under my eyes.

I came out of the tent and I saw everyone how busy they were. But I was stopped by the wild grumbling in my stomach. That's right, I couldn't even eat last night even though I was hungry. Who would feel hungry if you are surrounded by ghosts? There was food but I couldn't force myself to eat. It's hard for me. My fear of ghosts is way more than my hunger.

Suddenly my mouth watered when I smelled grilled fish. I immediately followed the smell as if my feet had a mind of their own and my instinct knew where the smell was coming from. And there I saw my group they are in a circle and grilling with a man-made bonfire.

"Hey, it's good that you're awake. This is almost done and we can eat." Gen. happily promised.
