Something was wrong.

I had performed the expulsion ritual before. Not often … it was not something any Alpha used lightly, but I had done it. I knew what it was supposed to look like. The pain was real, the severing was real, but a person without an inner wolf should not be reacting this way. Should not be bleeding like this.
