Chapter 140 - Cara

This beautiful woman in front of me, this brave woman who had somehow found the courage to end the life of the man I had been dreaming of killing since soon after my arrival in his pack four years ago was now pulling me away from the pack after we had been told my pack was being invaded.

Something told me, that when she told me she needed to escape she hadn’t been entirely honest. Not that she needed to be. But, I had to accept she had no reason to be. She likely felt she could trust nobody right now, and who could blame her? She had been holed up in our hell hole of a pack for too long, isolated and feeling alone. It was enough to send anybody insane. And, while I may have been trying to ensure she was kept a little safer, she had been oblivious to that.

I could not be caught talking to her, or I would have been made to suffer from the hands of the Alpha. He would have hurt me. Killed me, like he had done many omegas before who had gone against his rules.

But, no
