Thinking about her uncle made her think back to the day her parents were killed.

“Gabriella Nightshade, report to the principal’s office. Gabriella Nightshade, report to the principal’s office immediately!” The gruff female voice shouted out over the intercom.

“What the hell did I do this time?” Gabriella thought to herself as her heart started racing. Her dad said one more demerit or call from the principal, and her phone was a goner, forever. That would ruin her life! How was she supposed to keep up her social media presence without her phone? She couldn’t think of anything that she had done that merited her having to see the principal. Her hands were sweating. She has been good lately. She walked quickly to get the suspense over and done with. Ms. Wetherby looked sympathetic, which was very weird.
