Chapter 21 – Was He Jealous?
"You should be thankful that I didn't punish Leila for spilling my business." My eyes widened at the mention of Leila.
"I swear, I won't talk about your mate," I assured him, not wanting anyone to get hurt because of me. His nose flared, and he took few steps closer to me and bent down to my height. I was too flabbergasted by everything that was going on. I didn't dare to breathe and my doe-like eyes were wide with agitation.
He looked into my eyes. His eyes held wrath while mine held terror. His blue against my brown; Ocean against the land; Werewolf against a human; Alpha against a commoner. I was literally trembling in my spot.
