Chapter20 – He was mad
He was not any guy; he was Drake, Xander's younger brother. He was looking at me with an apologetic smile for scaring me.
"Geez, don't pull this act again, I nearly died of a heart attack," I pointed an accusing finger at him and leaned backward away from him with my wide doe-like eyes. I was sure that I would be looking like a funny anime character at this jiffy.
"Sorry about that," he rubbed the back of his neck and gave me a sheepish smile. I nodded my head with my eyes still wide as if, someone was going to scare me again.
"So… what made you give me a near-death experience?" I asked him sarcastically. He groaned at me in a protesting way which made me chuckle.
