I watched as her eyes turned back into their silvery color and finally close. I could feel her breathing and I could still feel a very tiny spark inside of her so I knew she wasn’t gone, just very very drained. I picked her up and began walking back towards camp. I kept my eyes forward, the scene around us too horrific to even imagine. I heard several people loosing their stomachs around us.

Behind me I heard Lucas tell some of the fae “bring the rain. We all need to ... rinse the day off.” I had just stepped into the forest when I felt the rain start again. My little mate made the rain turn to snow the first time and then after than I think the fae were too scared to do anything. People moved out of my way as I walked, some moving in fear others in reverence. I signed and knew that there would be a lot of questions once she woke.
