Catherine POV

Everything felt like a dream. I didn't understand how Alpha Philip morphed from being the most ruthless being, who had treated me like a piece of baggage, to the nicest individual in the world.

Without a doubt, I couldn't deny that he had so much effect on me. His aura screamed danger and at the same time was also alluring.

As I delved into my meal, I realized that he may have had a sudden change of heart and this thought excited me a lot. It had been quite a long time since I had this much peace and it felt great again.

Halfway towards finishing my meal, the door opened, revealing William. He stared at Alpha Philips, before bowing in courtesy.

"Apologies for intruding on Alpha, but there is a serious dispute that needs your wisdom at the chambers. Two women, who appeared to have been caught fighting over some random member of the pack, are here." I couldn't understand why women would fight over men.

As William went on to explain the origin of the issue, I thought to myself the essence of having a mate and sticking to such a mate, to avoid conflict. Realizing my mate had rejected me, it still hurts to this moment.

"The Luna and I would meet you outside." I looked up at Philip, who had a smirk on his face while gazing at me. Did he just ask me to be part of his dispute resolution process? I thought to myself.

William stepped out of the dining room and I looked up the moment the chair was pulled out and watched Alpha Philips walk over to my chair. He stretched his hand, depicting that I took hold of it.

"Let's get going." He commanded and I had no choice than to take his firm hands.

As we walked out of the dining room, some of the servants who walked by, had several reactions on their faces. While some of the servants were shocked, others looked confused.

We stopped at one of the doors and a pack soldier pulled it open. The moment I stepped into the chambers, I was graced with the faces of the council, who all got up to their feet, waiting for Alpha Philip to sit. While he sat down on his throne, he made a gesture with his hands that I should come to sit beside him.

Taking my seat beside Alpha Philip, I am made to understand what royalty was all about. Every other councilor took their seat, while I stared at the two ladies before us.

"So, I heard you both are fighting over a man?" Alpha Philip asked, looking disinterested in the dispute.

"Alpha, the moon goddess, had blessed me with a mate. We had plans to get married in the coming days, till I found out that she was trying to get his attention." One of the ladies, who had blonde hair, spoke.

"So the bone of contention is attention and jealousy?" Alpha Philip asked.

"Rightfully Alpha, I am Damien's mate and I demand to be given that respect. She is claiming to have been mated to Damien, before our meeting." The other lady revealed.

There was silence in the chamber, as everyone waited for Alpha Philips to speak. I turned around to look at him, his hands placed on his bearded chin as he rubs them gently.

"This is a matter of great relevance and I think my Luna here should have the final say." I stared in shock at Philips, who had a smirk on his face. I looked back to the ladies and the councilors, who seemed to be curious to know what my response would be.

"Did you reject him?" I questioned the blonde lady and she responded affirmatively. "Very well then, you don't have any claim of getting married to Damien. Every mate ought to be happy seeing their mate, but you deprived him of that joy. Thus, the moon goddess blesses him with another, you don't have any right to be outrightly jealous." After my proclamation, there was silence in the chamber. This silence placed a sense of anxiety within me. Did I say anything bad? Could my decision spark any controversy? Multiple questions kept flying over my head.

"You heard the Luna. She has given a verdict and I urge that you both strictly adhere to it." As Alpha Philips finished off, the ladies were ushered out of the chambers.

From my peripheral vision, I noticed a sense of pride deep within Alpha Philip's reaction; a clear indication that I had done well.

The rest of the meeting would go back and forth on the subject matter of giving a fitting ceremony, which was slowly drawing closer.

After the meeting, Alpha Philip and I made our way to what appeared to be a garden. The place was filled with several flowers and the amazing chirping sounds of the bird, gave the entire place an ambiance of being in tune with nature.

"I underestimated you, Catherine.." I looked around at Alpha Philips. "You have what it takes to be a Luna and this gives me so much happiness." I watched as he drew closer.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Alpha Philip was outrageously tall and his structure was intimidating, depicting the amazing gene of an Alpha, running through the course of his body.

"Being my Luna, there are several things you will get to know." He held up my hands while ensuring that we maintain eye contact. "If you keep up with these traits, there is no telling where this new situation could lead to.." He paused for a minute, a smirk gathering around his face.

"It could lead to being together with you because aside from your amazing personality, you look emphatically beautiful and easily alluring." At that moment, as his words struck several strings of emotion within me, I realized that Alpha Philips may not be as bad as people had depicted him to be.

CATHERINE'S POV As I entered the community meeting area, where pack members gathered for talks and declarations, I could feel a sense of anxiety in the air.
