Accashia knows that this sort of thing isn’t planned, this kind of awkward position she’s in with Calleb. Last night gave her such a rush. Fighting off Skeleton-like monsters called Shadows and actually defeating them. The thought materializes in the young lady’s head in the morning as she wakes up next to Calleb who was still sound asleep. She watched him quietly, carefully as she bites onto her lower lip. She watched how the soft but humid noon breeze brushed against his face, his long silver hair carried by the wind. She stared down on his long lashes and beautiful skin — lips and his strong neck. The young lady bent down to get a closer look, pass through Calleb’s skin, bones and flesh and into his soul. Why is she seeing this now when she never noticed this before? A kaleidoscope of colors mixed on Calleb’s strong soul. A swirl of red, a hint of gold. A touch of purple and blue and green — swirling together but not crashing and combining to an ugly mesh. The cat and mouse chase — rather — the hide and run game between Calleb and the Accashia went on and on that day. Wherever Calleb may be, Accashia will make sure she’s at a far distance away from him. During supper, even while Luntian made new clothes for them. As well as when the two of them were asked to pick berries, Accashia maintained her distance from Calleb. “What?!” Right after Accashia heard Calleb’s irritated answer, she didn’t think twice and rushed towards him. She snapped to the direction and followed the trails and remnants of the shifting soul, feeling a different sense of urgency when the soul of Calleb kept on changing — kept on shifting. “Calleb?!” She called again when the cave became silent. It was so quiet that she could her the sound of her heartbeat and could hear her loud breathing. Her will to go and find Calleb unfathomable. A sense of urgency surrounded her. And she could feel how weak Calleb was. “Answer me, Calleb! Where are you?!” Accashia found herself screaming as she looked for him. She ran everywhere, minding where she was by placing her hands before her — to make sure that she wouldn't bump face first against the walls of the cave. And yet, there was still no answer. It’s nonsensical, surreal and terrifying… It’s unbelievably powerful and Luntian could see how this is possibly inevitable. The strongest sense of panic and terror begins to assail the old woman as the monstrous creature moves closer and closer. It moves faster — until the old Shaman could smell the rotting flesh hanging on the creature’s bones. The closer the creature is, the more Luntian feels sick to the bones. She forced herself not to hurl. It was one of the most disgusting putrid thing she sensed. A soul so stained. A soul bearing a grudge. Anger. Engaged in the heated and lustful activity, Calleb and Accashia both flinched when they felt a loud thump and thud against the cave. Soon the sound became louder and louder until the inner walls of the cave began to shake and tremble. The two were so distracted from each other’s presence that they forgot that there was a world from outside the cave. The walls of the cave began to crumble, and the cave created by the spirit of the Phoenix was slowly being pounded to its destruction. There’s only one explanation why the cave’s barrier is losing its power. “Luntian…” Calleb’s eyes widened and he stood up, pulling away from Accashia. Soon enough the cave crumbled, the stones and roof of the cave fell on the ground and turned to nothing. A terrifying monster appeared in front of them, and on its hand… was Luntian. “The beast! The beast from the east escaped. He escaped, he escaped!” The monster shouted, its words coming out incoherently as he kicked a large tree standing in front of him again and again. The leaves rustled, fell on the ground as the trunk shakes. The monster lets out a frustrated snarl. It opened its mouth to scream — three voices came out from its mouth. A sound so gut wrenching that the birds resting on the trees fly away. A soft cackle of a child. “We’ll get them next time.” The voice of Jill resounded. Her soft cheerful voice echoing in the empty forest. “We’re strong. We’ll kill them. We’ll kill the beast and Accashia. We can do it. We can!” She cheered again and again as if it’s a game. The monster gave the tree another strong kick. “But we had them last night! We almost killed them last night!” Last night, Luther battled with the beast. But he looked different from before. His silver hair had a tinge of brown. His eyes were not red and he doesn’t have fangs or claws. T

Pain. Insurmountable pain. Accashia’s skin was on fire. Her chest felt tight, as if a heavy boulder was placed on top of her. Every breath shot more pain to her brain. Everything twisted and warped, even though she knew that she couldn’t actually see anything. The young lady opened her eyes, and when she did — pain shot throughout her aching body. Her vision was blurry. Accashia tried to move and couldn’t. More pain lashed up her ribs, and then she stretched arms. It’s her wrists that hurt the most, but she couldn’t move her hands. It was as if she was pushed down by an invisible force. Her body waved against the dried bushes. Accashia tried to open her mouth or part her lips but she couldn’t. Harsh breaths wheezed in and out of her nose. And when she tried to speak, nausea ran through her stomach. The clouds above her rolled and moved slowly, leisurely. She tried to curl on her side to stand but she couldn’t. Accashia screamed but the noise muffled behind her tightly sealed lips.

Hundreds of Shadows marched towards the darkness. Their boney feet sink against the mud. "Prepare yourselves." Katalka, the leader, reminded his army. His voice was laced with dread and regret after seeing the decimated castle. The once proud castle of Shaldan was now nothing but a ruin and a landmark. A symbol of the past — and lair to their Mistress. To their Creator, Ursula, the Wicked Witch. Half of the Castle was beginning to crumble. If strong winds blow against the castle walls, a few dents and rocks are visibly blown away. Soon, the moon appeared and the thick clouds covering the sky vanished. It was the cue that they were summoned to the castle. And Katalka was worried how they would face the Wicked Witch knowing that they failed again. "Steady."
