I ate as much as I could, feeling the strength beginning to return to my body with every bite of food I swallowed. As I ate, I thought about the admiration the girls had shown me. Looking at Heidi I asked, "Heidi, are whippings common?"
"No, usually they use other forms of punishment," she replied.
