The next day, Rory had gotten up early and parked her bags as well as a few books to read at the mansion. They would be given uniforms to wear when they started working at the mansion, thus no clothing from outside was allowed.

She had skipped out on informing her mother of her departure. Her mother would have insulted her yet again, this time calling her useless, like she had done the night before. Rory walked to Noah's room, kissed him on the head, and left him a note, and when she arrived at her mother's room, she tilted the door open a little and peered inside, whispering her goodbye before leaving the house completely.

​​Caroline waved to her as they got into the car together. Rory, on the other hand, was optimistic. How difficult would it be to cope with her haughty boss? What could possibly go wrong with him?
