The morning started with a deceptive calm. Elena stirred first, nestled against the warmth of Damien’s arms, her face buried against the soft fabric of the sheets. Sunlight spilled through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the penthouse, casting a golden glow across the room. For a few fleeting moments, the world beyond the glass seemed distant, unreachable. Safe.

But that fragile peace shattered when Damien’s secure phone buzzed against the nightstand.

His body tensed instantly. He moved quickly, his fingers brushing the phone as if the sudden sound might wake her. He glanced at the screen; the encrypted message with no sender, no trace, just a string of numbers and a single attachment.

A legal document he recognized.

A document that had never left his vault.

Elena stirred beside him, but Damien was already up, his mind racing. He didn’t even notice the tension in his movements until she was beside him in the living room, her hand finding his as the cold reality of the situation san

The lights were blinding.Hundreds of cameras flashed as the glass elevator descended onto the center of the gala stage – converted overnight into a media battleground. Drones hovered overhead, live-streaming every breath. The broadcast title across international networks read: “Montrose Heiress Faces Trial of the Century”.And I…dressed in black, hands bound with gold-threaded cuffs – was the headline.“Ladies and gentlemen,” Viper’s voice rang out, amplified and cruelly calm, “behold the traitor who dared to destroy the empire I built from ashes”,The crowd gasped as she stepped forward in her signature crimson silk. She looked regal, ageless, and untouchable. Every light loved her. Every camera devoured her lies.“She betrayed her own family,” Viper continued, “colluded with criminal forces, and attempted to defraud the very legacy her parents died to protect”,I didn’t speak. Not yet. Not until I understood the full extent of her game. Then the second elevator rose.I turned…..and

The night felt different – heavier, like the air itself was holding its breath.Outside the safe house, the world moved on as if the storm wasn’t brewing. But inside, silence reigned. The kind that comes after too many truths have been spilled, and the ground beneath your feet no longer feels like home.I sat on the window ledge of the upper floor, knees tucked to my chest, staring out at the moonlit horizon. Below, Damien was on the phone, coordinating with Lucien and the last of our loyal allies. But his voice, calm and commanding, couldn’t reach the chaos within me.The boardroom betrayal. The media smear campaign. The reappearance of his ex offering aid laced with poison. Every move we made felt like it cost us another piece of ourselves. When the door opened behind me, I didn’t turn.“You’re not going to sleep,” Damien said softly.I shook my head. “Sleep feels like surrender”,He crossed the room without a sound, his presence so familiar now it didn’t startle me. When he sat bes

The morning headlines were brutal.“Montrose Empire Crumbles Amid Scandal”“Crest Heiress: Liar or Victim?”“Anonymous Whistleblower Exposes Billion-Dollar Fraud”Viper didn’t need bullets. She used public opinion like a scalpel, carving into everything we’d built. Social feeds are flooded with doctored footage, distorted news segments, and anonymous leaks. She had turned the world against us.Damien slammed his fist into the marble kitchen counter of the safe house. “They’re eating out of her hand. She’s controlling every headline”.I stared at the screen in silence, watching a former Montrose board member call me “a manipulative temptress who seduced Damien into destroying his family’s legacy”,“She’s weaponized the media. And we gave her the match,” I muttered, fury boiling under my skin. “We’ve been reacting to her game this entire time. That ends now”,Damien looked up, his jaw tight. “You mean to fight her in public?”I nodded. “Not just fight. We expose her - on her stage”,---

The call connected after three rings.“Elena?”My father’s voice was rough, older than I remembered. Time had aged him, but guilt had done worse.“I need to see you,” I said flatly. “Now”,A pause. Then: “I’ll send an address”.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------One Hour Later – Abandoned Chapel, Outskirts of the CityThe moment I stepped into the candlelit ruins, I saw him.Gray hair. Sunken eyes. The once-proud man who taught me how to hide fear behind a smile now looked like he hadn’t smiled in years.“Elena,” he said, swallowing hard. “You look like your mother”,I didn’t return the sentiment. “I’m not here for nostalgia”,“I figured”, He motioned to the pews. “But I can’t imagine you came here for forgiveness either”,“No,” I said. “I came for the truth”,His eyes flinched.I stepped forward. “I know you worked with her. Viper.I know you helped her cover her crimes”,He didn’t deny it.Instead, he exhaled

The air between us had never been this silent. Not even when we’d hated each other. Not even when we were strangers pretending. But now, as the safe-house lights flickered above us and the evidence of Viper’s empire uploaded in quiet whirs around us – there was nothing but stillnessDamien stood at the far end of the room, jaw tight, hands clenched. He hadn’t looked at me since we returned.I broke the silence. “Say something”.His voice was low. Controlled - Dangerous. “You used me”,The words hit harder than gunfire.I took a breath. “No, Damien. I fought beside you. Risked everything with you”,He turned slowly, eyes like cold steel. “You knew more than you let on. About Viper. About the files. About your mother. How long have you been *playing* this?”I stared at him. “Longer than you think”,He flinched.I stepped closer. My voice didn’t rise - it didn’t need to. The truth carried its violence.“This wasn’t just about love,” I said, voice raw. “It was never only about you. It’s a

The last gate fell with a hiss of broken circuits. We were inside. Viper’s estate was more fortress than home – hidden within the mountains beyond the coastline, cloaked in security systems, thermal detection grids, and aerial surveillance. Damien had mapped every inch of it from satellite images and old estate blueprints. But nothing could’ve prepared us for the silence that hung in the halls. It wasn’t absence. It was the expectation.“She's waiting,” Damien muttered as we crept through the west wing. His gun was drawn, eyes scanning every corner, every shadow. “She’s always been three moves ahead”.“Not anymore,” I said, holding the access key we’d stolen from one of her mercenaries. “This is checkmate”.We passed the portraits first. Her trophies.Damien’s father. My mother. Allies. Enemies. All caught in candid moments, framed and hung like artifacts in a museum of betrayal. Viper didn’t just conquer – she collected. Power. Secrets. People. And now, her two most dangerous pieces

Blood doesn’t lie.But it can be manipulated, rewritten, twisted into something unrecognizable until you don’t know whether it flows from your heart – or your enemies.Damien stood before the Montrose mausoleum, stone-faced beneath the moonlight. It wasn’t grief that hollowed his expression. It was a revelation.I stood beside him, the cold wind threading through my coat, the silence stretching heavy between us. The engraved name on the tomb mocked us both:“Lucien Damien”Beloved Son, Loyal Brother, Gone Too Soon“He was never buried here,” Damien muttered.I glanced at him. “You’re sure?”His jaw clenched. “The casket was closed. Father said it was too ‘disfigured’ to view. I was nineteen. I believed him”,Now he stared at the stone like it had personally betrayed him. “But Lucien wasn’t dead. He was hidden. Sedated. Locked away. Used”,I reached out, my fingers brushing his. “Your father staged the death to gain full control over the Montrose estate, didn’t he?”He nodded slowly. “

I didn’t escape the cage.I dismantled it.The underground cell Viper had me trapped in had no clocks, no light, no hope – until one of her guards got too close and too arrogant. A loosened bolt in the wall. A moment of distraction. A shard of glass. Blood on my hands, but not mine.I emerged into the world a ghost of the woman I used to be.But ghosts don’t haunt – they avenge.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------By the time I reached Damien’s private hideout – one of his last remaining secure compounds – my body was bruised, torn, soaked in sweat and blood. But my spine? Steel. He ran to me the second I entered, arms wrapping around me so tightly I thought he might shatter. His voice cracked with a thousand emotions. “Elena. God – Elena.”I didn’t cry. I didn’t collapse.I simply looked him in the eye and whispered, “We end this - Tonight”-------------------------------------------------------------------

  • The CEO’s Vengeful Bride   Chapter 82 – The Final Play

The war didn’t begin with bullets. It began with a broadcast.Damien stood in front of the media tower, sharp in his tailored black suit, his jaw tight, his eyes burning like a man who had lost everything – and decided to burn the world to get it back. The skyline behind him glimmered under the morning sun, but the city was about to see its darkest hour. His comms buzzed once. Maverick’s voice filtered through the secure channel.“You sure about this? Once you go public, there’s no pulling back”.Damien didn’t blink. “I’m not here to pull back”.He stepped forward as the cameras went live – every major media outlet across Europe, Asia, and the Americas had been hacked or persuaded to air this. A carefully timed cyber-blitz had crippled Viper’s hold on the networks. Maverick had done it in less than three hours. Now, the world would see the truth.Damien looked into the camera.“My name is Damien Montrose,” he began voice calm but laced with rage. “For decades, the Montrose and Crest n
