Chapter 64
SEVERAL of the men and women gasped, few of them stepped backwards with terror in their faces. Every one of them could see the girl they remembered in this elegantly dressed maiden with beautiful crystallized wings. Indeed, she was Vivien, the monster that fled, and now she came back to them.
“You…” the elder hissed.
“Hello, Tribe Leader,” Vivien muttered softly. She fixed the man with a stare, intimidating in its serenity. "You never showed in any meetings with the Hwā."
“To think you would ever show your face here again,” the old man growled. Vivien couldn't argue more. She certainly didn't think that she would ever set foot in this village, not when she felt their grip on her limbs, preventing her from running off to somewhere free.
