VALERIA'S POV

I was getting better day by day in the training with Sigil, and now it looked like Brooke and his mother were my greatest worry. They attacked me at the slightest opportunity and searched for various ways to bring me completely down.

I needed to be more fortified than mere physical training, I needed to also be fit spiritually and in other aspects of my life.

I went to my father one late night, meeting him in his private chambers where he scouted with my mother.

"Hello Dad, can we discuss?" I asked patiently, standing by the side of the door and waiting for his response.

I spent nothing more than a split second at the door until I finally got a reply.

My father stepped out of the chambers, holding the curtain over his shoulders, with his face beaming with questions. "My princess, why are you by my door so early?" He quizzed, and on his face was a look of concern that I couldn't stop admiring the fact that he was after my wellbeing.
