Chapter 23: UNWANTED EMBRACE

I froze as I looked at the black shadow that was only an inch away from me. It didn't have any facial features, but I could feel and smell the hot sulfuric breath when it spoke.

"You betrayed me, my love, as if I couldn't see you."

I froze in fear as the shadow's hands held both my arms in a tight grip. I felt like it was snowing as the temperature in the room dropped suddenly.
