Carol then froze when she realized that Cassy had said The legendary mage and not a legendary mage, but Paige didn't know that The legendary mage existed, so she asked her puzzled, "Do you know anything about The legendary mage… Cassy, very few people know of his existence, it's been a long time since the mark of the pentacle appeared and many people have forgotten about him."
Cassy didn’t know what to do but she was really scared right now so she said to her, "I have something to confess to you but first I want to know why your family seems to know about this mark and The legendary mage?"
Carol didn't hesitate for a second, after all Cassy was indeed The legendary mage, no one could imitate this mark and she had already proven to her that she possessed extraordinary powers, so she told her, "My family isn’t from Astoria, nor is my husband's for that matter, we are both from a world called Spartia, and both of our families are very old families that participated in the last war to save humanity from the dominance of the demon god."
Carol smiled at her and then said to her, "It's kind of a long story so let me give you the short version. My husband and I fled to Astoria so we could get married and start our family away from all the political issues of Spartia.
If I had stayed in Spartia I would have had to marry someone else so running away was the only way we have found to be together, and beleive me, I have never regretted my choice, not even for a second."
Cassy smiled, and Carol told her, "Even if you weren't The Legendary Mage, I would have offered you to stay with my family, as I've already told you my husband can protect you while your powers will develop, but of course it's up to you Cassy, you don't have to stay with us if you don't want to."
Cassy finally let go of her wrist and decided to follow her instinct to trust Carol and Paige, so she motioned for Carol to sit next to them and she confessed to her, "I need you to keep a very open mind because even I didn't know that was possible."
She then said to her, "I’m 18 years old and my name is Cassy, but I’m not from this world either. My world is called Aurora and the practice of witchcraft or magic as you call it here is forbidden in my world.
I was raised by the oldest and most powerful line of wizards of Aurora, and even in my family my gifts have always made me special. I can already summon two different flames. The white flame which serves me mainly for two things, thanks to it I can accelerate the growth of plants and visibly increase their quality, and I can also heal any kind of injury with both humans and animals. And the red flame which represents the element of fire, I have total control over this element and I can use it at will."
Cassy paused to show them what she meant and she closed her eyes to summon her red flame. Once it appeared in her mind she opened her eyes again and she first conjured flames in her hand that she made dance, then she changed them into a ball of fire that she made grow until it reached the size of a basketball.
When she saw their stunned look, she decided to stop her demonstration and she made her fireball disappear.
She took advantage of the fact that she had summoned her red flame to dry herself off and then she continued her explanation, now that she had started she might as well go all the way, "That's not all though, if I focuse on people I can see the aura around them. Not everyone has one, but the ones I have seen have always belonged to wizards, and I also have visions. My visions are usually a warning to save lives, but my mother scared that I might kill myself trying to save a stranger's life finally sealed off what wizards in my world call the Third Eye."
Carol exclaimed then, "Cassy, darling, it's impossible to seal off the third eye, the seal your mother used probably blocked your gifts for a while, but it's double-edged because your third eye must have stored a lot of energy and I'd rather not even imagine what happened to you if the seal has been broken."
Cassy looked at her stunned, would the fever she had had come from that ... From the fact that the third eye shouldn’t have been sealed?
She said to her because it didn't matter anyway, she was in this world now and she would probably never see her family again. She preferred not to think about it too much for the moment and what she needed right now was Carol's explanation, "The seal has been broken when I was watching a solar eclipse and I was indeed invaded by a flood of visions more apocalyptic than the others.
At the same time, I caught a fever unknown to my world and I must have died because right after this stream of visions I heard a voice in my head, and then I found myself in the body of this girl who was drowning in the river... The rest you already know."
Carol then asked her to be sure she understood, because if The legendary mage had been sent to her it was necessarily for a good reason, "So if I understand correctly, your soul transmigrated into our world just after you heard a voice in your head and it was after your stream of visions right?"
Cassy nodded and Carol expressed her doubts, "It's strange that you transmigrated to Astoria, it would have made more sense for you to transmigrate into a body that was in Spartia directly... Do you remember your visions and what that voice told you, maybe the answer to your transmigration to Astoria is in this message."
Cassy nodded again and told her, "I remember everything, the voice said, ‘Find the golden dragon, find the seven power stones and forge a weapon that can destroy the demon god.
The golden dragon is the only one who can stand up to the demon god but he is not powerful enough.
He needs your help, you The legendary mage, his soul mate, and he needs this weapon to fulfill his destiny and save us all.’"
And Carol then understood immediately, the voice had said 'find the golden dragon', it could only mean one thing and that was that the reincarnation of the golden dragon must be on Astoria too and that Cassy was the key to finding him.
Her husband was going to fall over himself when he heard this, not only would he have to protect The legendary mage until Cassy was able to fight on her own but they would have to find the reincarnation of the golden dragon and probably have to protect him as well.Carol focused again as Cassy described the scenes she had seen in her visions and indeed it was very similar to what had happened the last time the demon god had appeared. And when Cassy asked her if she knew what the power stones were and if she knew about the golden dragon, Carol shook her head negatively and said, "Don't worry, the visions you had are not going to happen right away, even you said that you looked older in your visions.By then you will have become extremely powerful I can guarantee you, and I promise you that we will help you find the golden dragon."Carol pondered, but she could see no other logical explanation for Cassy's soul transmigrating to their world, "The fact that your soul tra
Carol nodded and said to her that here the white flame represented the light, and that the 3 flames she didn’t know were the black one for the darkness, the purple one for the metal and the last one was silver and represented the lightning. She told her that the greater her reserve of energy would be, the more able she would be to master flames other than the one of fire and light, and that if she had to forge a weapon for the golden dragon, then she would absolutely have to master the purple flame.Cassy nodded and was about to ask her more questions when the three of them were interrupted by the arrival of Carol's husband, Glen, and Paige's brother, Adrian, who was accompanied by his best friend Steven.Adrian looked a lot like his mother and sister, but he had his father's build. He had short, curly blond hair, bright green eyes, and a pleasant looking face that made you want to befriend him right away.Glen, who was Carol's husband and the strongest of them all,
And when she saw Steven's look at his wrist she quickly said to him, "I’m sorry, I didn't think that symbol would be so powerful, I hope I didn't hurt you, did I ?"Steven was once again stunned by this girl, she had just been thrown by a mysterious force across the room because of him and she was still worried about whether he was okay, did she have no sense of danger?Fortunately, Cassy apparently was no ordinary mage, he had never seen a mage of her age able to summon a flame let alone an entire shield made of fire, only mages with a lot of experience usually managed such a feat and she seemed to have done it as if it was innate to her.He finally decided to go check if she was injured or not, as Adrian seemed too shocked by what he had just seen to react normally. And so, he approached her and the closer he approached, the more his heartbeat accelerated. Again he had this strange feeling of not being able and not wanting to take his eyes off her and Cassy who was
Carol looked at her son and motioned for him to remain calm and she turned her attention back to Steven who didn't seem to want to let go of Cassy and still had those golden circles around his pupils. She then said to Cassy, "Cassy, I know that it must seem strange to you all that but you should try to reassure Steven and make him understand that you are well so that he will let you go, the dragons are very possessive and protective, you’re going to be very patient with him."Cassy indeed didn't quite understand why Steven was reacting this way, he had looked at her and seen that she was fine, but just like her, this strange bond between them must have amplified his feelings. She ended up putting her hand on his cheek to get his attention and after he put one of his hands on hers, he lowered his head and looked into her eyes with his golden eyes and that's when she had a vision that she hadn’t had before. She saw a battlefield under a heavy rain and as the fighting c
Some of them also had clairvoyance gifts and were called Prophets, these demons were respected by the others and they always had a great influence on the power in place.Five years ago, the demon god was finally reincarnated and his growth, unlike that of humans, was three times faster. He now looked like a teenager of about fifteen years old and within a year he would have reached his adult form and he would finally have access to all his powers. However, even if he didn't have access to all his powers yet because his body was too young to support such power, his mind was fully awake and he had even inherited the memory of his previous lives which was an undeniable asset. Two years ago his Prophets had finally tracked down the golden dragon, his sworn enemy, but they had only been able to locate the world he was currently in because a mysterious force was clouding their powers. With the knowledge of his past lives he had deduced that the birthmark of the dragons must have appeared on
A thought that he didn't like at all suddenly crossed his mind and he asked her just to be sure : "Did you already have someone you loved in your world?"Cassy opened her eyes wide, she didn't know why he was suddenly asking her that question, weren't they supposed to be kissing just a few seconds earlier? But she could see the uncertainty in his eyes so she said sincerely as she placed her hands on his cheeks, "There was never anyone, people spent their time avoiding me because I was too weird for them... You were the first one who didn't run away from me when you saw me using my powers."He then leaned in following his instincts and he rested his forehead against hers feeling relieved, Carol had told him that Cassy didn't know anything about their world and she probably had no idea what a soul mate was, so she must also have been unaware that she had the right to reject their bond.Once soul mates found each other they had 3 months to exchange their breath and complete their bond, i
Steven told her then : "The easiest one, and the one that will give you the least trouble once you get into the Academy, is for you to take the tests like everyone else so that no one will accuse you of getting into the Academy because someone helped you."Steven put his hand on the black orb and it immediately turned white, he said, "This orb is used to determine if you are a warrior or a mage, and for a mage the color that appears in this orb gives his potential. Carol told us that you would have no problem controlling the energy you will send into this orb, so you just need to practice sending the right amount of energy so that your true potential won’t be discovered, and at the same time, your potential needs to be high enough so that you can access more privileges. The Academy tends to pamper exceptional mages and this is the perfect solution for you because that way they won't be too surprised that you are exceptionally good."Cassy had blushed at his compliment, apparently far
And Cassy, after successfully making the silver color appear in the orb several times in a row, told him that it was okay and that she was sure she had memorized it correctly. When he then pushed the orb away and took her hands, she lost herself again in the contemplation of his beautiful amethyst eyes and he then asked her, "It's still very early Cassy, do you want to go back to rest?"Cassy shook her head, she had always been a morning person and so she asked him, "I would like to go take a look at my pocket dimension, do you know how it works?"Steven smiled at her and said, "Carol told me you'd probably want to go so she told me what to do."He let go of her hands and walked around the table to join her, he made her stand up and he said, "You don't mind taking me with you, I'd feel better if you weren't alone."Cassy smiled at him and said, "If you tell me how to do it I'll take you with me."And so, with a completely irresistible smile, Steven turned her around so he could hug he
