The car stopped before a sumptuous villa. It was well-maintained through the years. It was expensively furnished throughout.
They entered the spacious living room where Kelly and his mother were waiting. They walked hand in hand.
Kelly was so excited to greet Charles but her smile gradually faded when she saw who's with him.
“Mom.” Said Charles.
“Charles, at last, you remember you still have a mother. If not for Kelly, I will not know that you’ve returned.” Said Mrs. Davidson.
Mrs. Davidson was resentful that his son did not pay her a visit for too long but she was happy at the same time to finally see him.
