# Chapter 24 A New Pack

Amelia’s POV

Amelia sat alone in her room, staring out the window at the moonlit forest. The battle had been won, but the aftermath was far from over. The pack was still mourning the loss of their fallen members, and the wounds of the battle were still fresh. She couldn't help but feel guilty for what had happened, for the choices she had made that had led to the bloodshed.

She had chosen to fight for the rival pack, to betray the pack she had grown up in. But in the end, it had been the right choice. The rival pack had been planning an attack on the neighboring towns, and if they had succeeded, countless innocent lives would have been lost. Amelia had stopped that from happening, but at a great cost.

She was pulled out of her thoughts by a knock on the door. It was Daniel. "Can I come in?" he asked softly.
