January 12, 2016, the third day for Emily as a professor, the day she hopes won't happen again. She still hopes that the things that happened in the past days were only a part of her long dream and she will eventually wake up and laugh about it. Emily's POV"I have a surprise for you." This statement keeps rewinding in my head. What could be his surprise? I woke up on a bench in the park near my department building. I can't remember how I got in here. I must have been so tired preparing for the midterm exams. I am now a sophomore student taking up nursing. Nursing is not really my first choice for my major, but my mom insisted that I take this course. As she always says "Being a nurse is one of the most stable jobs. Schools and businesses may close but hospitals will never have that problem." I protested for a long time, but as everyone knows, Asian moms are known as tiger moms. Emily Chavez, a nursing college student (that's who she thinks she is) is not known by many. She has always been quiet in class and doesn't have many friends. There are only two places she usually hangs out in: the library and the school park. She usually goes to these places to relax and many times, she sleeps there. No one really pays attention to her. Emily woke up from the alarm from her clock on her bedside table. She got up immediately and checked her phone. It's 7AM. She's aware that it's 7AM since her alarm clock is set to ring at that time, but she still wants to check it just in case it was too early or too late for her to wake up. She went straight to her small bathroom to take a shower. Her room is quite spacious with a few decorations hanging on the wall. She considers herself a minimalist.
