19. SOMETHING TO REGRET

Mr Johnson watched as Adrian dealt with his pressure with ease, and he felt shocked. He was much higher in power skills and combat power than Adrian. But the fact that Adrian countered it made him feel shut out of words.

When he first arrived in this academy. He heard a lot of stories about Adrian, the dark horse of the academy. And he thought he was only flaunting his family powers. But when he experienced how he easily countered his skill, he knew he had to elevate his opinion about him.

Although everyone in the Hall saw what happened, they didn't know that an exchange was done in a mere 3 seconds. Not even the human, nor the spiritual beings detected any signs. They knew Adrian was doomed. In the academy. It was against the rule to go against a lecturer, and not any one at that but Mr Johnson. A man feared by all. Although he only came into the academy recently, he was able to make everyone wary of him.

Mr Johnson stood still on the podium, no one knew what was on his mind. Initially he came in with a foul mood, but now he just stood there, the whispers from the crowd passed through his ears like a fleeting cloud. After what seems like an eternity. He walked off the podium and out of the Hall.

Seeing this the students went crazy with discussion, some already predicting Adrian's fate. While some don't dare to speak, scared of the unknown. But one thing was certain, Adrian was a goner to them.

Sarah looked on hearing the rumors flying about Adrian. She knew that Adrian did it for her, and now he was in a mess. She didn't know what punishment they were going to give him. According to what she heard, insulting a teacher was against the rules in the academy, and Adrian just did so. Although not with words, but with action.

For some reason she felt scared, scared for him. What was to be his fate.

“Come out” a voice resound in Sarah's ear, calm and steady. It wasn't loud but Sarah heard it clearly“come to the woods” And then Sarah knew the source of the voice. Because that was Adrian's voice. And he wants her to meet him at the Woods. Maybe he has a clue about where Kate was about. But why in the woods? Sarah had a bad feeling about this as she rushed out to meet him.

Now at the woods, there was no one there at that time, only a tall handsome figure that stood up straight, his back facing her.

Sarah recognizes the person immediately, the way he stood,like he was going to fall at any moment. And his jacket was very much identical to him. And his hair was also a replica of him.

“You are late” Adrian turned back to Sarah, his eyes locked on her lips that seemed dry.

Sarah licked her lips, moving forward to him. “I know, I tried to be fast”

Adrian looked at the girl who seemed a little bit closer for his comfort. His eyes blaze with something deep within, when he watches her licking her lips. With a slight cough, he gave some distance.

“So… why did you call me out here?” Sarah looked around her environment but there weren't any signs of another life. This made her slightly disappointed, she was expecting to see Kate here.

“Come here” Adrian stretched his hand out to her. Sarah looked at his hands and took it.

Ignoring how soft her palm felt, Adrian activated his power. Space power. Ripples surrounds Adrian and Sarah as space folds himself, as it transport the two somewhere

Meanwhile…

“Please don't do anything to me” A beautiful girl cried out, her hands and legs bound, as she stared at the group of people in the forest.. She couldn't believe she was deep within the woods. A place no one has ever ventured. And the group of people there, she could have sworn that she knew at least three of them. One was the lady she looked up to. And the remaining two were the ones the academy girls would kill to have. And one of them was moving emotionally with a sword in its hand. He was walking towards her with no emotions on his face and he was going to kill her!

“please please don't kill me, please!” She struggled on the ground, although she knew her fate was sealed at that moment, she still struggled to fight, struggling to survive. She was still young, she hasn't had any boyfriend, she hasn't done anything yet that she was proud off. Why did they have to want to end her like that? Tears fell off her eyes. Her hands and feet, although bound, still struggled for survival.

He watched her calmly from the side, his always smiling expressions that everyone knew were gone. Now what was left was something he hadn't done in the 1000 years of his life. And that was to frown. She was the first girl that made him feel this way. As he looked at her struggling, he felt her pain as she yearned to be free. But he couldn't. There were many things at stake here. His family, and his races. If words should come out about this and they investigate thoroughly. Then the reason why his teammate was in this academy would be exposed. And he will be damned if he should allow that.

But she__ He felt confused. So confused that his head hurt

He watched as his teammate raised the sword upwards And for a slight moment he almost rushed to stop them. But he stilled himself. He knew he was going to regret this forever. But was it worth it

“I'm sorry” He turned back, his back facing her. He didn't wish to witness this. It was his fault, I guess that was the price to pay for his foolishness.
