Travis' POV ~
“Who is that? Is the intruder a lady?” The words tumbled out of my mouth without meaning to ask.
“Yes. She seems to be a lady…” Garry, my PA responded, looking at the screen.
I continued to watch in fascination as the intruder tackled down two of my men outside the gates of my estate.
“Who is she?” I asked Garry.
“She is Selina Morrison. The daughter of Benjamin Morrison, the chairman of Morrison Brewery.”
“Tusk!”
If she is here because of the same deal her brother proposed earlier, it's a lost call. Morrison Brewery is beyond revival. I thought but I still couldn't look away from the screen. It's been a long time since I saw a lady throwing punches.
“Incredible!” I muttered, seeing how she tactically tackled my men.
Let's see what she’s got.
“Let her in,” I said and signaled Garry to switch off the screen.
They let her through the gates and in no time, Liam, my bodyguard, led her into my office.
My eyes darted around her the moment she walked in.
Her messy light blonde hair bounced on her shoulders and back as she took long strides in.
In a twinkle of an eye, her golden eyes darted around the room till she locked eyes with me.
Her face was bland and without makeup. She wore faded black cargo pants, slightly ripped at the knees. A plain white graphic tee was layered under an oversized, buttoned-up flannel shirt. A scuffed-up pair of black sneakers completed her rugged look.
Tomboy to the bones!
Beneath her tomboyish vibes were beautifully curved cheeks and chin. Golden and eagle-like eyes, pointed nose, and pouty rosey lips that would have lit up the room if they had feminine touches.
With her lips pressed tightly, she bowed slightly. Not a sloppy bow, but one that bespoke confidence and strength.
I dismissed Liam and Garry led her to the innermost part of the office which was designed for relaxation.
Her strides were sure like she owned the room, shoulders relaxed but eyes hunting. Not the walk of a lady.
“You made quite an exquisite entrance,” I said, not expecting her to reply, but she did.
“They wouldn’t let me in.” Her voice caught me off guard. It was soft and low, not matching her recklessness.
“Who are you and what do you want?” I asked, looking up from the three-seater sofa where I sat.
“I am Selina Morrison…”
“Are you from Morrison Brewery?” I asked.
“Yes. I…”
“I have made myself clear with the CEO whom I presumed to be your brother! You should leave, I am not investing in Morrison Brewery,” I said coldly and reclined in my seat.
“l have a deal… Can you please hear me out?”
“Leave, I have heard all I needed to hear from the CEO earlier.” I responded but seeing her unwavering gaze I said to Garry, “Call Liam to send her away.”
“Wait! You don't really want to send me away? Did you? If you wanted to send me away you wouldn't have invited me in.”
“What?”
What audacity!
“Garry!” I yelled but she cut in
“...I.. have a deal… Not only Morrison Brewery,” she added hurriedly.
My anger subsided and I looked at her squarely- my eyes not leaving her nor did her unwavering gaze leave me.
I signaled Garry to stop. Not because of her measly deal but because I didn't want to let her go. Her audacity, desperation, and gut. I wanted to explore them all.
Still looking at her, I raised my hand to stop Garry and showed her to a seat.
Selina's POV “Sure, guys. Go ahead. Thanks for today.” We bid ourselves goodbye and I turned another route leading to the infirmary I dragged myself to the infirmary, tired but determined to be sure Pearl is in a better state.Pearl's POVWhen I woke up, I wasn't in the cave. I was in a well-lit room and I felt something comfy beneath me, it was a bed.I adjusted my eyes slowly. Looking around, the room seemed familiar and soon I realized that I was in the infirmary."Pearl? How do you feel now? You slept for so long." A familiar voice said.I looked in the direction and Hardin's face came into view. He was hovering over me and looking intently at me.“What the heck happened to me?” I asked as hazy memories filled my head.“You were attacked by Evelyn Wolf. Pearl, we couldn’t handle it so we brought you here.” Hardin explained hastily.“You couldn’t handle what?” I questioned. Something about his look made me think he was hiding something.“The bleeding, Pearl… it was heavy. Your ar
Selina's POVI wasn't done. I needed to see Max too. Their cells were just a few feet from each other. The guards led the way and I followed suit.“Hey, see who we have here,” Max said, sticking out his vile tongue as soon as he beheld me.“I knew you would come. Where is father? Why hasn't he come to bail me out of here?”“Father? Father all that you have done to wreck his life, how dare you call him father!? …” gritted and he grinned.“You detest him. You can't call him father. He's never been a father to you. But he is to me,” he beat his chest, laughing like a maniac.“He is a father to you… that was in the past. You didn't see him as a father. He took you in, and trusted you, but you sabotaged pulled down his company…just to build yours…”His eyes darkened instantly. He rushed at me and gripped the bars of the partition between us.“How did you know about that!?” He glared, shaking the iron bars.“Which part are you curious about? That you sabotaged and pulled down Morrison Brewe

Selina's POV I scampered up the bed as the sun rays hit my eyes. I had slept in and the sun was seeping in already. I had a peaceful sleep for the first time in many years. Instead of a dream filled with nightmares, Travis came to me in my dream and we had fun.I smiled hoping to see him today. His disappearance seemed suspicious, but isn't he the almighty Travis Scott? I shouldn't worry about him.I swayed into the bathroom to have a quick bath. I needed to resume to the office in time. I had been absent for a couple of days and there was a lot to be fixed. First was the list of investors waiting on my table. I had to review the strategy I asked the departments to write. We need to advance too. Next was Brian. I needed to fix him into my schedule. I would visit his company and deal him a lethal blow.In no time I was done with my bath. I didn't use the bath robe, instead I plucked the towel off the rack and stepped out of the bathroom. With water droplets dripping down my body, I
Travis“I knew it! I know you will come to this cheap club to vent your helplessness. It's so like you. You are so predictable,” Smith’s voice boomed and I took a glance at him before looking away.“I dont need to ask… I guess you got her and Yiu are possibly licking your wounds because you think you are entangled to her and marriage is a no for you,” Smith said picking up my bottle.“You know me so well,” I said clinging the bottle with my glass cup. I downed another round of drink and poured myself another glass. I drained it all and Smith grabbed my shot glass at the next attempt.“Even Travis, the almighty drinker will get drunk I'm no time if you continued this way,”“This is unlike others. The feeling the bonding, the desire… it hit me raw.”“You should make peace with your past and settle for…“Stop!” I gritted.“Touche…” he whispered and I shook my head, “she has some scars too…” “Good… since you picked her to be your baby mama. I was scared to the bones!”“Why did you want to see me,” I asked blankly.“To ask for your forgiveness.”What? My eyes widened.“Living in this house… how was it? Was it hellish? What about your abuse? Is that why you chose to become a tomboy?” My father asked and fir the first time, I saw sincerity in his words.“Tell me Selina?
