“You took my throne.”

Her words hit me harder than any attack.

I stared at the woman standing across from me. My wolf growled inside me, but I did not move.

Kael stepped in front of me at once.

“Who are you?”

The woman laughed.

“You should be asking who she is.”

Her eyes stayed on me.

“She stole what belonged to me.”

“I stole nothing,” I said.

“You were given everything.”

“I never asked for any of this.”

Her face twisted with anger.
