CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN: THE CONFESSION

ALEX'S POV

As I emerge from the car, my gaze meets Aiden's, who trembles in fear immediately he sees me. I don't say much as I approach him, but just ask him why he’s here.

“Why are you here? I thought I already made it clear to you the last time, so what exactly brought you back to my house?”

“She invited me.”

“That doesn't look like an invitation to me,” I say as I slowly move closer to him, wrap my hand around his neck, and then lead him to my car.

As the car moves, I can see him already trembling, and he gathers a lot of courage to even say the words he said.
