“Scarlett!” Lee shouted as he ran in the room. “What the fuck happened are you okay?”

“I fell,” I whispered. “But I’m fine…I think.”

“The babies!” We have to call an ambulance or something!” Lee ran around panicking looking for his phone. “Grayson!”

I heard heavy footsteps run up the stairs.

“What’s wrong?!” He asked. “Scarlett, what happened?!”

“I fell,” I winced. “Can you guys get this off of me please?”

“What if it hurts the babies more?”

I didn’t even think of that.

“Hello? This Lee Windsor. A-a shelf fell on my girlfriend and she’s pregnant, what do I do?!” Lee yelled into the phone. “I…I think we can lift it, but should we? Okay okay we can do that!”

Lee gave them the address and then hung up.

“What did they say?” Grayson asked.

“That we can lift the shelf off, but not to move her after that. They’re sending an ambulance. Ready?”

Together they lifted the shelf off of me. God they were so strong!
