13. Glow worm
I got home as soon as the meeting ended to avoid spending any more time with Loren. when I got home, no one was there. Neither Adam nor Jacob. Where is everyone? Not even Lady Anna. I searched every room, kitchen and living area but they're nowhere to be found. I searched my phone to call Jacob then realized I didn't take it from uncle Wilson. I used our telephone and heard a phone ringing on the couch. His phone is here, this means he is hiding somewhere. So, I quickly changed into jeans and a T-shirt and started searching for them, taking each step carefully. I am sure they are up to something. When I slid open the door to the garden area, I was soaked into a bucket full of water meanwhile Adam and Jacob rolled out of the bushes laughing.
"You guys are dead now." I ran towards them and they steadied themselves on their feet to escape.

During lunch, I was forcefully dragged into the cafeteria and was sitting with Jacob, Jeal, Afrodoid, Bretha, Rob and his girlfriend. I don't know her name. All of us were the participants, except Jacob and were discussing the competition. Jeal-violinist and I was her accompanist. Afrodoide-cellist/violoncellist: the one who plays the cello. After having some rest or rolling on the bed to be precise. I went to the kitchen to prepare something to eat, forgot that Lady Anna wasn't here. When hash browns and apple pancakes were prepared, I went to Adam's room to call him. He was sitting on the floor near the window with his back facing me."What are you doing?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows while he cocked his head in alarm.

I was heading towards my class, with my mind processing every scene of last night. The party, Rob, those words, everything. I don't know what language Loren spoke, neither I remembered the words properly, something like 'leat breath a lin'.Someone snapped their fingers in front of me, creating a clicking sound that paused my thinking. Time ticked and days ran, a week passed. The same thing continued. Going to college, practicing piano and then office. It's been a month since I started working. I am in the office, sitting on the chair and getting bored. Loren isn't here yet. His anger was on the same level this whole week. I was on my bed, wide awake staring at the ceiling, listening to the tick-tock of the clock watching hours pass.Why did he kiss me? Who was that red Lady?I couldn't come up with any answers to these questions.Why does my mind freeze in hispresence?I stood in a sitting position when I remembered his words before the kiss. I quickly took my phone to translate those words. My thumbs were dancing in front of the screen. "Crap! What were those words?" I almost shout ignoring the peaceful sleep of Adam. I looked down at him.

I got home and quickly changed into a suit. Taking my fake glasses and hairpin, I drove to the office. As usual, I was late. My three spare suits of the office were already used and I forget to put more of them. My mind that was busy with the usual stuff, was dashed back on yesterday's incident.I have to talk to him.Not sure what to talk but I need to. When I reached, I took my private elevator and to my surprise, Loren arrived at the same time and stepped in. Just his presence was building up the weird feeling in me.

As promised, I was at the college by 7. We practiced in the music room for an hour. When it was time for Adam's school, I got home to pick him. He was ready when I arrived and we drove to his school. Way to the school was quiet and we arrived within minutes. We were waiting out of the principals' office. I took a deep breath before entering and with one step we're in."Have a seat Miss. Troustkey." The principal said, only his torso was visible as the rest of the body was hidden behind the desk. When we sat he began his complaint.I am the one who should be complaining. The one who's guilty is the other boy with whom he fought. It wasn't a fight though. There's his fault but that boy was the initiator."You should control your brother, he painted a boy's face black." Principal said."I know what he did s-" no I am not calling him sir- "but that boy was the one who first ruined his painting."
