Tatum's POV

The drive to the hospital was fast, yet agonisingly slow for me.

My leg bounced uncontrollably as I kept glancing at the time on my phone. My heart pounded so hard that I could barely hear anything else.

Liam's awake.

The words echoed over and over in my mind.

Please... let him still be awake when I get there.

"Can you drive a little faster?" I asked, my voice trembling despite my best efforts to stay calm.

"I can't. I don't want to break any traffic rules," Arden replied, hi

Tatum's POV The drive to the hospital was fast, yet agonisingly slow for me. "I can't. I don't want to break any traffic rules," Arden replied, his eyes fixed on the road. "Oh..." My shoulders slumped in disappointment. A moment later, without saying another word, the engine hummed louder as he pressed slightly harder on the accelerator. The scenery outside the window blurred a little faster. I turned to look at him. "Thank you," I whispered. He simply gave a small nod, his hands never leaving the steering wheel. Not long after, we arrived at Sun Crest Hospital. The moment the car came to a stop, I pushed the door open and ran ins

Tatum’s POV Time flew by far too quickly. Before I knew it, our vacation had come to an end, and we were heading back home. As I zipped up my suitcase, I couldn't help but glance around the room one last time. This place had given me a kind of peace I hadn't felt in a long time. A part of me wished the trip could last a little longer, but reality was already calling us back. "Hey, are you packing your stuff already?" Amelia asked as she walked into the room. "Hmm, help me out," I replied with a smile. She walked over without hesitation, and together we folded the last few clothes into our suitcases. "Gosh, I haven't felt this refreshed in ages," Amelia sighed dramatically. "Lowkey, I don't want this vacation to end." I chuckled. "So you can spend more time with Damien?" "Come on!" she laughed, swatting my arm playfully. "Hey!" I laughed, rubbing the spot dramatically. While we were busy bickering, the door opened. Arden stepped inside and cleared his throat, immediately draw

  • Vows Written In Dust    Chapter 36

Tatum's POV As soon as we returned from the beach, I headed straight to our room to freshen up. By the time Arden came in, I had already finished showering and changing. When I stepped out of the bathroom, I found him sitting on the couch, completely absorbed in his phone. Fortunately, I had changed before leaving the bathroom, sparing myself the awkwardness of dressing in front of him. Sensing my presence, he finally looked up. His eyes settled on me, and for a brief moment, neither of us spoke. Warmth crept up my neck, spreading across my cheeks beneath his unwavering gaze. I quickly looked away, pretending to focus on drying my hair. A sudden knock on the door broke the silence. "Who's there?" I called, walking toward it. "Damien." "Okay." Just as I reached for the doorknob, a warm hand closed gently around mine. I froze. A shiver raced through my body at his touch. Slowly, I turned to face Arden. He wasn't looking at the door anymore. He was looking at me. His dark e

Tatum's POV "Tatum!" Amelia called out, knocking on the door. I walked over and opened it. "Hey," I greeted. "Hey." She stepped inside. "Aren't you bored?" "Hmm... yeah, I am." "So, there's a beach about twenty kilometers from here. Let's go have some fun!" I smiled. "Are you sure about that?" "Yeah, why not?" she replied. "Arden and Damien are coming too." "Hmm... okay." "You should wear our matching tankinis." I laughed. "Sure." After grabbing our beach bags, sunscreen, towels, and sunglasses, Amelia and I changed before heading downstairs. Damien was already waiting by the SUV. He let out a dramatic whistle. "You two look like you're about to start a fashion magazine." Amelia rolled her eyes. "Oh, shut up." Arden glanced up from his phone. His eyes landed on Amelia first before shifting to me. For a brief moment... He didn't look away. His gaze lingered on me for a few seconds, almost as if he'd forgotten where he was. The unexpected attention made me shift

  • Vows Written In Dust    Chapter 34

Tatum's POV After Arden stormed into the room, I hesitated at the threshold before finally gathering the courage to enter. I cleared my throat to announce my presence, causing him to briefly lift his gaze from his laptop before looking back down. Without a word, I set my luggage down and began unpacking, secretly wishing he would leave the room to give me some space. A sudden knock interrupted the silence. "Who's that?" I asked. "It's Damien," a voice replied from the other side. "Oh," I muttered, glancing at Arden. Arden stood up silently and opened the door. Damien poked his head inside with a cheerful smile. "Hey!" "Hello," I replied, forcing a polite smile. "Having a nice time—hey—" Before he could finish, Arden nudged him back into the hallway and shut the door behind them. The moment they left, I released a long breath I hadn't realized I was holding. Thank goodness. Taking advantage of the privacy, I grabbed my things and headed into the bathroom. Aft

Tatum's POVAfter the wedding, my mind kept drifting back to the kiss, and suddenly my face flushed red. Amelia’s phone call snapped me out of my thoughts."Hey!" she said."Hi," I replied."How are you doing?" she asked."I’m good, I guess," I replied."Mmhmm... so, the wedding... the kiss," Amelia said with a sly tone. "How did it feel? Is Arden a good kisser?" she asked.I immediately felt my cheeks flush red. "Stop, Amelia!" I replied."Come on, don't be like that," she teased."I don't know, I'm not in the right state of mind right now," I replied."Sorry," she said."So," I asked, changing the subject, "did you and Damien hook up after the wedding?""What do you mean, 'hook up'?" she retorted."You know what I mean," I replied."Well, we... just said 'hi' and 'bye,'" she said."That's all?" I asked."Yeah, what more do you want? At least, unlike you and Arden..." she teased."Stop teasing me," I said."How did you feel?" she asked."I was shocked. I wasn't expecting it. I though

  • Vows Written In Dust    Chapter 6

Tatum’s POV I arrived at the hospital still reeling from shock,or perhaps it was pure, unadulterated rage. Liam had already been rushed into the ER. I had texted Amelia on the way, and I was slumped in a chair right outside the operating theater, The sound of my racing heart was all I could hea

  • Vows Written In Dust    Chapter 5

NIGHT The drive to Arden’s mansion felt endless. Liam was asleep on my lap in the back seat, his tiny fingers curled into my dress as if he was afraid even in his dreams. The driver’s eyes stayed fixed on the road, silent, careful — as though even breathing too loudly might shatter whatever fra

  • Vows Written In Dust    Chapter 4

ARDEN’S POV I ignored her screaming the entire drive until I finally pulled over in front of a restaurant. She was fierce. Loud. Annoying. Definitely not my type. I had actually felt relieved when she said she wasn’t interested in the marriage either. That should have made things easier.

  • Vows Written In Dust    Chapter 3

TATUM’S POV Could this day get any worse? First, the ridiculous engagement announcement — the one that was taken down almost immediately. Definitely Arden’s doing. He would never allow his girlfriend to lose face over an arranged marriage, so he had the news pulled before it could go viral. F
