LOGINChapter 7
Jace's POV
One of the things I deeply abhor is when my wolf decides to nag me. He's an understanding wolf most of the time, but sometimes he just becomes an asshóle I want to strangle to death.
'But how can you like her? You said no woman entices you like our mate did.' He got on my nerves with another annoying remark of his.
I leaned more into Jenna to cover her properly. It's started raining and the atmosphere has suddenly become chilly. I recalled how she was shaking during delivery and stayed by her side to support her.
'That was until she came.' I replied as my eyes drank in Jenna's features.
She's a beautiful woman with an angelic face. It looks angelic while she's sleeping, but when she's awake, she's fierce. Pride spread through my chest as I smirked- She will look good beside me as my queen.
'I am afraid she doesn't consider you her king.'
A low growl exploded from my chest at my wolf's words. I was about to yell back at him for being negative when Jenna's eyes fluttered open. She weakly glanced at the ceiling before they stalled on me.
As our eyes met, I felt a flutter in my belly. Shít, what is this feeling? Sure, I've felt weirdly attracted to many women but this is different. It's like I'm being sucked into a tornado.
I was frozen there when she flinched back given we were very close.
"W-what are you doing? And..." Her face puckered in pain as she caressed her belly. "Where am I?"
"In my suite. I didn't feel it would be good to take you to your home. Besides, your husband is not there." I looked away as the last part left my mouth.
I had sent a soldier of mine dressed as a civilian to deliver a message... That his Luna was in labor. The bastard Alpha neither sent any message back, nor did he come. It's like he didn't care.
"Chris will never do that. I'm sure he was busy with work." Hearing his name from Jenna's mouth made me get up and turn around. "Did you inform him that I have given birth?"
"Yeah, two hours ago. He didn't even let my man enter his house." I clenched my jaw tight as no sound came from Jenna.
Next moment, soft sobs filled the room. I quickly spun around and darted towards the bed. A knee of mine dented the mattress as I pulled her in my arms.
"Hey, at least I'm here."
"It's not the same as having my mate here. I want to kill him." She cried but I was relieved that she clutched my shirt in her fist as she leaned into me. "How could he not come? I gave him the best years of my youth. I walked beside him through every problem. I fought next to him in wars. But he couldn't even send a message with your man! He didn't even see him!"
As I opened my mouth to speak, she grunted, "I know he's with his first love. But for the sake of keeping up appearances, he...." She trailed off as loud sobs left her mouth.
I didn't know what to say to console her. This has never happened to me. My mate died during a Rogue attack. She was so loyal, I couldn't dare to move on. I did have many casual hook-ups and I currently have a mistress named Liza, but that's all I had.
I never faced betrayal or pain. Given how Jenna is crying, I think she knew already... Which is a punch to my gut.
"Y-you know your husband has been cheating on you?" I asked in daze. I thought I'll make her hate me more by breaking the news to her.
"I found out yesterday." She hiccupped. "I've been feeling a weird kind of contraction since the beginning of my third trimester. Yesterday it was intense. I thought I'm in labor and visited the Pack's doctor... And there, I heard him talk with Chris."
"So the doctor knows?"
"He's a fucking manipulator!" She snapped. "He was encouraging my husband to cheat on me even when Chris didn't want to. Well, it doesn't make him any less of a cheater. But it was obvious, Doctor Henry was trying harder to send him away."
At this point, the only reason I can come up with is, "Any personal grudge?"
She nodded in yes, "In the beginning when I came to the pack after marriage, I caught him running an illegal business. He was cheating the pack. I brought his sin to light and he was punished severely by Chris. Later he apologized and promised his loyalty to the pack. Since he's been in the pack before Chris was born, he trusted him and let him stay."
"And he stayed because he wanted to settle scores with you."
"Maybe." She closed her eyes. Her pain was getting to me. I stared at her with a nagging feeling in my chest. I wanted to take all her pain away.
"But we can't ignore the fact that Chris ruined your marriage with his own hands. He's got his own brain and díck, and he used them both despite knowing the consequences." I huffed.
"I hurt his ego when I suggested we do IVF using the donor's sperm. To him, using another man's sperm wasn't simply an option— it was an admission that he wasn't capable enough. His pride couldn't accept the idea that another man's sperm might be needed to give me the baby he couldn't." I ran a hand through my hairr.
As a man, I can feel how annoying that would have been. Your wife is carrying someone else's child and you both will have to call it yours. But she meant it in a good way. Had she not, then she wouldn't have promised to keep it a secret to save his àss.
"What now? How are you going to do the separation? A simple divorce or rejection?" Her eyes shot up to me, full of hurt and surprise. "I... I mean, after all this you're not going to stay with him, are you?"
She didn't reply for a long moment and kept staring at me. She was a Luna, hence she was well aware how to mask her emotions. All I saw were her eyes now getting redder.
"And before you answer, know one thing... I am not leaving my son alone. He's coming with me." I gulped. "And if you want to be with him, you can't be with your loser mate."
"Are you threatening me?" Her face turned red as anger surged in her eyes.
"No. I'm just telling you the obvious. I have tried so hard to have a child. But no woman so far could carry my offspring. It was too strong for their body. I thought it'll never happen as my mate, and the rightful person to give me my heir, is dead. Then I discovered the hospital made a mistake. I caught the doctor and he spilled the truth, which led me to you." Pause. "There's no doubt you are strong, Jenna. Thanks for taking care of my baby, and I'm sorry for whatever you're going through. But I think we have a lot to figure out. How we'll raise him. What happens between you and me."
I let her have her time to think as I watched her expression. She was thinking hard.
'I think if you proposed marriage to her, it would have made a bigger difference than what you said.' My wolf said.
Maybe. But she dislikes me right now. I wasn't there with her throughout her pregnancy and now I'm staking my claim on our child. This must be very surprising for her. Therefore, we'll take one step at a time.
Suddenly my heart slowed down when I saw her looking at our sleeping son. She had that look a person about to make a sacrifice would have.
No. No. No. She better not think about giving him up.
"Jenna, you're his mother. I'm not going to separate him from you." I sat in a chair in front of her. "You have as much right over him as I do. We are his parents and I can assure you, I'll never take any decision alone. So don't be afraid of anything. I'm here doesn't mean you have to give him up. But you need to understand you can't be married to him if you want to be in our son's life as his mother. Hell, both of us can't be with others if we want to give him a normal life. You understand what I'm saying, right?"
A tear trickled out of her eye. She wiped it and turned to face me, "I want to see Chris first."
"What, are you crazy? How can you think of seeing him after the way he rejected you?"
"It's important. I want my closure before I walk away from here."
I stared at her. She was glaring at me with a fire in her eyes. In that moment, I wasn't seeing a broken wife or a helpless mother. I saw a strong independent woman and that gave me a kick of amusement.
"Okay, tell me what I can do?"
"Just help me find a barber." Her eyes flitted up to our son. "So he can shave his head."
"Hell, no." I immediately picked up our son. "Why would you do that? He's got such pretty hair."
"To hide his true identity, idiot." She glared. "Chris thinks my son is from a weak omega. But the hair will give away his resemblance to you. Besides," A wicked smirk touched her lips. "I want our son's real identity to be the biggest blow on his incompatible díck."
My lips curved in satisfaction. If that's the case, I'm in.

Chapter 58 Jace's POV We were silent for a long time. Neither of us spoke. Suddenly Jenna lifted her face and eyes me innocently."What?" I chuckled. She nodded in no, "You burned Liza alive."My face stilled. I pulled her closer and joined our foreheads, "I had to. She was the bane of our family."I kissed her."Also," I added. "She made me doubt my wife's intentions. I had to punish her."At that, she hugged me tighter and rested her face on my shoulder. She was sitting straddling my waist while I held her like my toddler baby.My back had healed. Hence, I was able to sit this way.The doctors had been worried because the wound wasn't healing in my state of unconsciousness. That's the reason why they refused to give any answer. But the second I woke up, the wound healed, and all the residue of wolfsbane and silver was eliminated by my immune system."What happened to Chris and that lady?" I suddenly asked as I remembered those two."Both dead. And that lady was Doctor Henry's daug
Chapter 57Jenna's POV 'Thanks, bro. Head towards the Rogues' territory with your team. I'll meet you there.''Roger that!''Okay.'We broke the link. I sucked a sharp breath as I focused on the road ahead. If I drive at high speed, I'll get there in twenty minutes.Jenna, hold on for a while, love. Your husband is coming to get you.(Twenty minutes later)"Jace, finally you're here." Oakley came running towards my car as I applied brakes."Did you find her location?" I was not even fully out of the car."Yes, and already stationed our soldiers around the area." Oakley said, sending a wave of relief through me."Thank, goddess.""Don't worry, Jace. The situation is already in our control." Oakley flashed a shark grin and my eyebrows cocked in confusion. "Chris's soldiers look novice. They are not attentive at all, let alone alert.""I think he brought untrained wolves here. And I must add that his Beta and Gamma are not here either."I acknowledged with a nod, "He's probably doing it
Chapter 56Jenna's POV Jace has never touched her before. He hadn't done it this time either. It's that bìtch who always found ways to go near him.'There's no point in giving yourself false hope, Jenna. Jace isn't the man we thought he was. Accept it.' Gianna said.A feeling of disappointment rose over me. No! My wolf is not right here. She's hurt from Jace's wolf's words, and rest is the impact of wolfsbane.Jace loves us.'You really think that? Then tell me, why didn't he come after us when we left?'he He might have a reason.'No,' Gianna grunted weakly. 'It's because he was bewitched by his mistress's beauty and he chose her instead.'That's not true. I was breathless in anger. Gianna's words struck a chord that it shouldn't have.'I'll prove it to you that Jace still only loves us.'Having that said, I lowered my guard. I had blocked out everyone and their feelings to avoid getting caught. However, as I lowered my guard, I could feel my family's emotions— Jace's first. He was
Chapter 55Jenna's POVI regained my senses at the feeling of stabbing spasms stretching throughout my body. My eyelids were heavy and so I couldn't drag them open. But my other senses were working well.I could hear and smell and feel my surroundings. The air was crackling with the chirping of thousands of crickets, meaning that I was most likely in a forest area; or where there were a lot of trees.I dragged in a deep breath to catch scents, and realized that wood was burning somewhere. Then I heard the noise of fire crackling. A bonfire. I subtly rubbed my hand on the ground and sensed the coarse texture. Soil. All the elements directed to one point, I was in a forest. My eyes felt better now. I was about to open them when, "Hadn't she woken up yet?" A familiar voice asked."No, Alpha Chris. After she turned into her human form while fainting, she's been just like that." Someone said,It wasn't Cleo's voice. Hmm. Perhaps Chris flew all the way to Silent Hills city with a small team
Chapter 54Jace's POV "Let this be a lesson to all those who think they can fool the Alpha King just because I trust them." I announced as I paced around with a flaming torch in my hand. Behind me a pyre was built in the middle of the city for people to watch. On it Liza was tied to a pole. She was drenched with petrol and shaking. Her eyes were red. She begged me to let her go, that she was honestly apologetic. That she acknowledged her blunder and would go away. "My trust has never been a weakness. My willingness to believe in those who stand beside me does not make me blind, nor does my kindness make me a fool. I give people my trust because I choose to see the good in them. Because I consider them my previous ones. But the moment that trust is betrayed, do not mistake my silence for ignorance. And don't ever think that you can outsmart me."I came to a halt. The flames were crackling beside my face. It was night now, the sky was dark with no stars. There were light poles around
