Chapter 44
I woke and saw that my energy bar was almost full. I stared at the ceiling of the cave, thinking how far I will go in the next attempt and how long would I be trapped inside this prison. I wondered if ever I will be successful in leaving this place or be like Eric’s mother, forever trapped inside the abyss of dreams.
Although I have been trapped here for almost a day now, the lack of sunlight or any light for that matter makes you confused of what time of day it was now. The only source of luminous light I could see was Eclaireuse’s barrier. The beeping of the alarm clock startled me awake. My back was drenched in a cold sweat as I recall the nightmare I just had. But no matter how I concentrated I cannot recall a thing except how I was swallowed by a horrendous creature. '7:00 AM' I sat in my bed and turned off the beeping alarm clock. Slowly calming myself down from the nightmare I just had. I can hear the soft clanging of dishes and the smell of something cooking downstairs.
