Nathan:I smiled as I looked at my mate who was watching the streets as the carriage moved around the kingdom, crossing the bridges, noticing a faint glow under her long-sleeved black dress, the sleeve concealing the mark, however the glow made it visible, though I was sure that she was yet to notice it.Being sure that by now she did not know what the mark was or who she really was or what she was capable of, otherwise she would’ve been able to stop Nina a lot more easily than fighting her physically the way they were, the blood on her collarbone seeming to have dried making me frown in confusion as all the other cuts were new and somewhat still bleeding, the cut on her collarbone seemed to be older than the others were, the clot already formed on it stopping the blood from pouring out.“When did you get the cut on your collarbone?” I asked her, she was looking out the window, seeming in daze before she snapped out of whatever she was thinking

Kiara:I woke up feeling somewhat warm and refreshed, holding a blanket close to my chin as I got lost in the soft fabric, having not felt this relaxed for a very long time.My eyes suddenly snapped open when I realized where I was, seeing as I wasn’t on the hard floor of the forest, a sheet draped over two trees to cover me from the eyes of the lads that lived with us, wearing a silk dress rather than a worn-out dress that was stitched so many times due to being worn out from the endless days of me wearing it.I smiled to myself as I saw the change that had hit my life only to remember what it cost me, my friends probably hated me by now, the palace guards having stayed on their heads last night to stop them from running away or doing anything crazy, remembering that Prince Nathan was going to see them this morning, my eyes widening as I feared him harming any of them, more specifically Nina if she decided to do anything that would be risking herself gett

Nathan:“Who the hell do you think you are?” my father asked, his back still facing me.I did my best to calm my breathing and keep my heart beating at a normal rate, not wanting him to sense my worry of what he might do as a reaction to our other day argument, and though he was yet to make a move of approaching me, I could feel his wolf battling him to get out and shift, causing my wolf to go on alert should I need to defend myself, even though I was hoping that it wouldn’t reach to that point, I knew that I needed to be prepared for anything that could happen.“Answer me” father said angrily, this time turning to face me, confirming to me that I was indeed correct and that his wolf was making an appearance, showing, and revealing himself to anyone who had eyes, father’s eyes were now golden and his canines were exposed for a blind man to see, his nostrils flaring as his death glare met my calm gaze, it wasn’t that I wa

Kiara:“How?” I asked looking at the mark on Ashton’s wrist, he smiled and covered his wrist once again, his eyes looking into mine, while I looked at him as if he’d grown a second head.“Do you want to hear a story?”“Ashton”“Yes Kiara?”“How do you have the same mark?”“That’s what the story is going to reveal”I looked at him, eyeing his expression, trying to read it, but he gave me nothing, not a single clue of what he was on about, I nodded, my eyebrow still raised, though this time I kept my distance to look him in the eye, he chuckled seeing as now I was suddenly less relaxed or at ease.“Have you ever heard of Prontose?”“King of the sea? We used to tell his stories to the children back home” I said smiling at the memory when we would all be seated around the bonfire we started, and we’d be sha

Kiara:“Mathew?”“Yes, as far as I know and so far, he’s the youngest child of Deniz and the youngest descendant of Prontose” Ashton said answering me, my eyes widened as I took in what he said.“Ashton, you’re saying that the child we’ve been raising, that we found in front of that orphanage is our little brother?” I asked looking him in the eye, my eyes widened as I processed something “you are my big brother?”“Talk about slow processing” Ashton rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest as he raised an eyebrow at me “yes, I am ‘your big brother’, like that fact is going to change anything since we’ve always acted as so anyway”“Well, yes, but now you get to go all big brother protective mode, and I get to say nothing about it” I pouted, Ashton laughed and wrapped his arms around me, tickling me making me laugh, as his f
